Shamrock ever since he first presented had caught the eye of the captain and the other officers on the crew, with the threat that they could just wait for his brother, they are twins afterall. He will be an omega just as well. So Shamrock has no choice then to agree to be theirs, even if he dissagreed, he knows they would not give him much of a choice. He is an omega after all.
No matter how much it wears on him, or how much he does not want it. He has to protect his brother from the truth, even if with every month it is more obvious that Shanks is going to be an alpha, and perhaps he gave his body for nothing.
