Summary
George is selfish. He is selfish because he wants both of them.
He wants Alex, who is his lifelong friend, who knows him like the back of his hand and who has really seen him in every way and manner. Alex, who has stood by him in good and bad times, through work and free time. Alex, who is his best friend, but who, for almost three years, has become something more. His home, his refuge, with him, he thought he had found tranquillity, peace. But that is not enough for him.
He also wants Lewis, the man he has only known for a few months, but who has slipped into his heart. He has fallen in love with him, out of the blue, without meaning to, and to his misfortune, or luck, Lewis loves him back. He reciprocates him in a passionate and ardent way, which George never expected to see from a man so elegant and demure at first sight. He cannot even give himself an explanation as to why he pulled up his nose from his “Alex-centric” view of reality and smelled Lewis. Fact is that he is now his as much as Alex.

Summary
The thing about Dream and George is that there’s no such thing as secrets between them.
He can’t quite pinpoint when exactly this became the case, but he thinks it had to have been sometime between sharing an apartment and embarking on their first tour in a van. There wasn’t really room for secrets when you never got a single moment alone, and at some point it became natural to spill their guts to each other whenever they were delirious with exhaustion after staying up way too late.
He knew about the time George stole a few pounds from his mom’s purse when he was a kid and felt so bad about it that he cried and admitted it to her within an hour, just like George knows about the time he accidentally pissed the bed in the middle of the night and didn’t tell anybody. They know each other, and old secrets spill out across interstates between Orlando and Miami and Tampa.
With old secrets being fair game, new secrets were a lost cause. And that’s why Dream had kind of always been absolutely fucked when it comes to George.

And "One Household" is one of my favorites because it’s a secular piece, but there’s something holy there, you know?”
There was room for George to answer, but he sort of hated it. He was twenty-six and on his own but he felt like a little kid with the wants of his grandmother tangled around his lungs. “I’m not religious,” he said, choking on string.
“Me neither.” Dream said it like it didn’t matter. “But I still feel it."

Dream thinks the look in his eyes reminds him of the time he used to live in the streets before he made it into the industry, looking at the beautiful cars that drive by. I don't want to push him. I don't want him to leave. I look into his pools of brown, attempting to figure him out.My thumb inches forward, moving slowly. It feathers over the man's bottom lip. Pink and soft. I hear his breath hitch and, as it does, I touch him. My thumb rests on his lip carefully. I fear I may break him if I press too hard or move too suddenly. His breaths come out rapidly now and I nearly feel his blood pumping. His lip trembles under my touch and softly I pull it away.
