He suddenly remembered that Techno was the one to take them there and even though he could appreciate good dancing, he still had a lot of questions. His friend didn’t seem the type to enjoy this kind of place. The brunette couldn’t imagine Techno having fun at a party, nevermind one as shady as this.
He supposes he would have to ask him himself after they get back.

With how hesitant Wilbur was to just say it, Tommy was beyond scared, "I'm not a little kid anymore! You never tell me what you're thinking plainly, you never tell me anything until I can't do anything about it! Please, just say it already."
"Tommy," Wilbur's voice was firm, leaving no room for argument, "Answer me."
Tommy just stared at Wilbur, wanting to be defiant and remain silent, but time was against them, he knew that too well. Tommy, once again, was forced to let go when he just wanted respect and recognition.
"Yes, Wilbur… I trust you."

Summary
During an all-out apocalypse, he had expected humanity to adapt rather quickly, but not many had. And, if anybody asked Tubbo, he would have said that even most of those who'd managed hadn’t done so as well as him.
It had been a few months since the beginning of the Zombie Virus outbreak. The world had handled it about as well as they had handled every other major epidemic that had come before then, and that was to say horribly. Most people had been convinced that it was a hoax at first, and, by the time it had become obvious that it wasn’t, it was too late. Governments fell apart like butter left on the stove for too long. Communication had ground to a halt. The only few news stations remaining were using radio frequencies to send out their messages, and it was hard as a lone wanderer to get access to those.
That said, while Tubbo had been majorly let down by the world, he had no plans of doing so in return.
He would find a cure for the Zombie Virus!

Summary
It took Sam three days to retrieve Tommy’s corpse from Dream’s cell. By then, the decomposition process had already started, and most of his organs were no longer functional. Of course, Tubbo wouldn’t let such a minor complication discourage him from doing what needed to be done.
Certain substitutes were easier to find than others. Piglins’ hearts and kidneys were plenty compatible. As long as he was careful with the specimen he selected, the chances of Tommy’s body rejecting them were rather low.
Lungs and liver were the main hurdles for him.
Most people on the server, unfortunately, happened to be hybrids. Wilbur would likely have been suitable enough (although he was a heavy smoker, so the condition of his lungs probably wasn't the best), but he had long since rotted in the grave he'd dug for himself. Punz was one too, but finding the mercenary was already hard; taking him on in a one-on-one fight on top of that would have been near impossible. And Tubbo couldn’t revive his friend if he was dead.
That left him with only one option: Dream.

“What’s going on…?”.
“He saved the Crown Prince’s life” Master Dude explained. “Bringing him here was the only worthy enough reward the Prince could think of”. That, at least, was reassuring. The intentions of the Crown Prince could still be misconstrued into something nefarious by outsiders, but it was nice to know that he’d just been trying to protect the kid who saved him, in his own way. “As far as we’re aware, he doesn’t have a name, parents, documents, or anything, really. Prince Technoblade decided to call him Theseus, but he only acknowledges you if you use the nickname Tommy”. Tubbo could imagine that their dear Crown Prince was feeling rather butt-hurt about that last part. “I know it’s a lot to ask, but there truly is no one else who can take care of him. I’ll be around to help, so… give it a try? Please?” his begging sounded surprisingly earnest.
There was no point to it; it wasn’t as if Tubbo could refuse after all…
With a simple nod, his new life as the personal aide of the Crown Prince’s one and only concubine began.

Summary
The fact that he’d been right about Dream and Wilbur working together, however, didn’t change his displeasure with the situation at hand. Especially because his best friend wasn’t there, so he couldn’t even gloat about it.
Speaking of… it was a bit weird that Tommy wasn’t there.
Dream had made it clear countless times that the other teen was the only thing (because that’s what he saw Tommy as, an object, not a person) he gave a flying fuck about. And Tubbo and Wilbur just weren’t all that close. They’d been like family once upon a time. Back when the older had been someone he could respect. Someone who stood for something worthwhile. But that relationship had been buried far into the past. Currently, the only thing the two of them shared was an attachment to Tommy.
So why was he the one who’d gotten kidnapped?

Summary
On the surface, it was just a corridor. Rich carpet underfoot, ornate windows lining the walls on one side, paintings and heavy wooden doors on the other. But Dream couldn’t just see it like that. The darkness outside the windows was cover, the carpet could hide blood, or just his footsteps, and the painting’s eyes seemed to follow him. Always watching. They just couldn’t leave him alone, could they?
Dream gets disturbed, then decides to go for an early-morning wander. It ends... irritatingly.

Between Ranboo’s pointless death, Tommy going into hiding and cutting all contact with him, Quackity shutting down all of Las Nevadas as a precaution, and his child getting kidnapped, he was at a loss for what to do. At once everything seemed to have spiraled out of control.
Several times he started thinking that maybe it was time for him to start praying to all the higher beings he never believed in, because, while he still didn’t think that the gods were as special as they liked to make themselves out to be, they undeniably did have enough power to at least give him back his husband and child, give his best friend his life back, and help him slay all of his enemies.
It was during the mission to locate and rescue Michael that Techno and Eret helped him with, as he stared at the once powerful Warden cowering in fear before him, that he had a revelation: maybe he could steal that power for himself. He was ruthless enough, he proved as much to himself already. And he could get others to follow his lead, even someone as highly independent as Technoblade. He had to have some qualities that others admired him for! Maybe he even had what it took to ascend to something greater... to become a God.

A few days after having been broken out of prison, Ranboo started noticing some weird things around Snowchester.
The town had never been the biggest or the most active, but in a matter of a few days, it had turned into a proper ghost town. Nobody was walking around the cramped snow paths, nobody caring for the farms, he hadn’t even seen anyone coming and going from the lab despite that once having been the pride and joy of their village.
He had tried to reason that maybe Tubbo’s decision to erect concrete walls all around the town had been just that unpopular, but that wasn’t the only oddity he noticed.
Tommy moved in at some point. When he asked Tommy what finally convinced him to accept the offer to go live with them, Tommy laughed nervously and mentioned that Tubbo could be persuasive when he wanted to be. But, when he later asked Tubbo the same question, Tubbo answered that Tommy had been feeling unsafe after Dream broke out of prison and had proposed the idea of them living together himself. When he asked them about that inconsistency Tommy let out another nervous laugh and confirmed Tubbo’s version of events.

Dream’s sudden death had come as a shock to the entire server.
It would have been far less unexpected had it come when he was still trapped in the prison, but it hadn’t. Techno had freed him.
And yet, his death was undeniable. Death messages were impossible to fake.
Personally, Phil didn’t care all that much for it. He was never Dream’s biggest fan and, while he’d been a valuable ally for Techno when the time came to take down L’Manburg, he didn’t trust the guy not to turn on them as soon as every other threat to his power had been dealt with.
The other big news he received concerned him a lot more.
Around the time of Dream’s death, so not too long after Tommy hid from him in Phil’s home, Tommy disappeared. There was no death message for him, which could have indicated that he was still alive, but, then again, nobody knew how deaths worked for those who weren’t supposed to be living in the first place. So, had it been only him that vanished, Phil wouldn’t have known how to interpret it. But time a couple of weeks, and Tubbo was gone too.
