“I’m still not,” he chuckled, then grunted. “Fine, I do still care about you.” He crossed his arms, closing his eyes in frustration. He tapped his foot on the bed. “How can you still do that?” He asked, meeting her gaze. Webby’s eyes glinted with a familiar hint of mischief.
She fidgeted with the webs on her fingertips. “I did nothing, I do not know what you’re speaking of.” She giggled once again, a sound that echoed. Wiggog was reminded of when they would play hide and seek, she would always win, and her victory laugh sounded just like that. Like bells chiming, like a cold breeze on a blistering day, like the wind wailing through the trees, like the rays of the sun themselves.

Becky and Tom rolled their eyes playfully in sync, but obliged anyway. “Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world.” Becky started. Tom joined eventually, and it became a duet. If you listened close enough you could hear Duke occasionally laugh or hum along, tapping his fingers on the camera to the beat.
He went back to his workstation as the video kept playing in the corner. He occasionally hummed along to his and Becky’s own singing. He had always been fond of singing, he was in a couple musicals in middle school, and he took choir in high school. He would always make up love songs to sing to Becky, or sing already existing ones—he also was pretty good on the guitar, keyword ‘was’. He hadn’t practiced in years.
