Summary
To say Keilidh Mackays life has been difficult is an understatement, meaning that she hasn’t exactly always done everything within the law. Due to this she ends up being arrested on her one-year-old daughters first birthday and sentenced to 2 years at Litchfield Penitentiary for her part in an international drug-ring years after she thought she had left that life far behind her when she left her hit-man fiancé years earlier, but somehow her name is handed over to the judge, her past life manages to catch up with her and she is forced to accept the consequences of her past actions.
She thought she had hit rock bottom before, but during her sentence she realises that what she thought was bottom was nowhere as difficult as what she experienced in the place she couldn't leave until her sentence is finished.
However, it’s not all bad because whilst she is in prison she reconnects with some friendly and familiar faces from all of the different points in her life who help her through everything and make sure that she gets to the end of her sentence to be with her daughter again.
