After the elevator comes to a stop, and the doors open, the remaining twelve students all go their separate ways. Hirose tries his hardest to ignore the way the group seems to be actively falling apart, friendships eroding and the trust they had in each other dwindling. He tries his hardest not to remind himself just how much he played a part in everything breaking down.
In the end, only he and Denden remain. He swears she's actively trying not to speak to him, but she can't seem to leave his side either.

She was on her knees.
She was begging for herself to be saved.
How could she refuse? How could she not try her very best to do it? How could she break past the limitation in this body to fulfill such a personal agonizing desire?
How could she look at that letter, seeing Hidemi as a bleeding along with her and Ikeda and think that this was the perfect set up all along?
How could she only watch as Nisiguchi's body fell limp, the syringe with the poison that took her life still in Ogura's hand.
And how could she not just confess to the crime and take the punishment that followed for her sins.
OR
In Ogura's final moments, there was pain, sadness and above all, regrets for all she had done, for the one person who plead for her salvation, Hidemi. A salvation she had all failed to give.
