Under this new threat from the law, crime syndicates are falling in line behind Jabba the Hutt's example, seeking to build an alliance with the Chancellor and the Jedi and legalize their spice and Bacta running operations.
One of the leaders of those syndicates, Dryden Vos, has requested but one thing in return for his soldiers and friendship from Chancellor Palpatine.
