This was never the path she wanted for herself, but she had no choice. Everything she had done had been for a purpose: to find the person who killed her best friend.
Regardless of her younger self’s pure ideologies, Hermione found herself doing whatever it took to find this murderer and bring them to justice.

Christmas at Hogwarts was always the most magical time. From the high enchanted ceilings and the end of term feast in The Great Hall. To the wreaths of holly and berries scattered around the Castle and gold candelabras that lit up the stone, casting shadows down the corridors.
Adrian roamed the hallways of Hogwarts, a certain destination in mind. Something he wanted to do for someone he cared for, deeply. Turning the corner he saw a house elf step into the kitchens. He crossed his legs at the ankles and leant his shoulder against the stone archway, waiting for one particular elf to appear between the doorway.
“Master, Pucey.” The house elf squeaked, jumping in surprise. Almost dropping a china tea cup and matching saucer in his flustered state, the china clinking in his small hands. “What brings you to the kitchens?”
Adrian crouched down to his level, resting his forearms on his knees and clasping his hands together. “Good evening, Nikolai. I was wondering if you could do me a favour.”
“O-of course, Master Pucey. What does one need from Nikolai?”
A slight curl edged it’s way on his lips, cheek dimpling. “I’m after some of that special chocolate pudding. The one that melts in the middle.”
