Since blockbuster discovered his identity, Dick feels out of the options, with the villain killing anyone close to him to punish him. He's already lost his circus family, he can't let his vigilante family get hurt too. So when Blockbuster blows up Dick's apartment building, Dick decides he's out of options, and uses the event to fake his death, he won't let anyone else get hurt because of him.

Ever since sparring with Tim, and learning a bit of the other vigilante’s time away from Gotham, Jason can’t help but want to get to know the other better. So, he suggests target practice as a way to blow off steam. He gets a little more information than he was looking for though, not that this does anything to deter him from his growing interest in the other.

Sleep Deprived Idea I Had On 3/7/2025,
In this timeline Cassandra Cain has her Robin a.k.a. Mia "Maps" Mizoguchi, and Tim also has a protégé, or should I say 2 protegees? Meet Liam and Lori Welsh, a pair of Crime Alley Kids, they are twins and seek Tim out and become his children. They figure out who Cardinal is and seek Tim Drake out and basically Lori is a natural born Detective like Tim, and Liam is a natural born Fighter. They lived close enough to Crime Alley to have Red Hood's Protection but far enough to not be on his radar. It goes like this "Lori & Liam ; We know who you are and we are your problem-er-children now. Tim ; Fuck it sure" They train with Tim and become the perfect pair. here is the thing, they are metas, a twin pair of speedsters, they aren't that fast, (they think), also the bat fam doesn't know that these two know about their lives because "Tim is like ; These are my kids and I am keeping them safe from the nightlife, and Batfam is ; sure we will try, and Jason is like ; not gonna work but okay" and then LIAM, LORI, TIM ; Devious Laughter of Evil Geniuses .
And Maps is the only one who knows there is two of them and she befriends them. -

Tim shouldn’t have gone out on patrol tonight, he should’ve slept off the floaty feeling that even his second cup of coffee couldn’t fix.
But instead he found himself drawn to the Batcave, drawn to the promise of being around people, of being around his brothers, of being near Bruce and Alfred.
He stood in his small kitchen, eyes half lidded, the freezer ajar. Tim loosely held an ice cube, willing the chill from it to ground him back into his body.//
Janet Drake chose her own happiness for most of her life, Tim just wished that he had been included in that choice.

Fue tonto de su parte no darse cuenta de qué circo exactamente se trataba hasta que se perdió entre tanta gente y se chocó con un niño pequeño unos años más que él que iba vestido con verde, rojo y amarillo. Tim siempre recordaría cómo esas dos personas cayeron hacia sus muertes y cómo el niño entraba en shock con una cara horrorizada mientras que veía a sus padres morir en frente suya.
Tim siempre se preguntaría qué hubiera pasado si hubiera procesado antes dónde estaba, si podría a lo mejor haber hecho algo, si pudiera haber reaccionado antes, como decirle al niño pequeño que revisara una última vez las cuerdas por si acaso.
Pero no fue así. Tim no reaccionó. No se dio cuenta a tiempo y no pudo hacer nada. Sabía que no era su culpa, pero eso no le hacía sentir mejor. Desde ese entonces, se prometió a sí mismo observar mejor, prestar más atención a las cosas y hacer aunque fuera algo si es que podía para evitar algo como eso. A lo mejor, a lo mejor... a lo mejor, si lo lograba, entonces podría demostrarse a sí mismo que en este mundo se podía vivir en paz, o tan en paz como pudiera ser, al menos. Después de todo, esto era DC. No sabía mucho de eso, pero lo que sí sabía era que era un mundo peligroso.
