Rei wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close to keep him from spiraling. He leaned into her shoulder, trembling.
“I’m still thirteen,” Touya whispered, voice cracking. “I’m supposed to be thirteen. Fuyumi should be in middle school. Natsuo should be doing homework. Dad should be-” He broke off, unable to finish.
He suddenly lurched off the bed, stumbling toward the door.
“Touya!” Rei called.

Summary
It's been a while since Touya died, surrounded by his family but stuck in a week body and a prison that kept him from really saying goodbye to them. Or saying much of anything really.
Even in the two weeks before he died, he could barely talk, could barely breathe. Sometimes the pain got so intense, so overwhelming and all consuming that he could barely hear what they said to him.
He tells himself it's ok, at least he finally got to know, to believe, that they cared. That they saw him.
Waking up to Himiko's cheerful expression greeting him in what could only be the afterlife, Touya decides that it's ok, everything will be ok; he can wait here with the league — with his friends, his family — for the day that his other family get there.
And then he finds himself deported from the fucking afterlife, slamming down on the floor in his mom's new house, because Natsuo decided to take his frustration out on Touya's urn and shake it like a crazy person, dragging Touya back to living world as a ghost.
