The ritual was a Hail Mary from a desperate student on the floor of his shitty dorm. Nothing more than a passing impulse.
An impulse that was not supposed to work.
Though at the moment, Akira feels he may need to reevaluate his beliefs as blood dries on the palm of his hand and the smell of nettle and foxglove burns the roof of his mouth.

Akira struggles to stand, stumbling as his leadened legs wobble beneath his weight. He lurches forward, unable to hold himself steady with his hands cuffed behind his back. Goro catches him with a strong arm, shoving him onto his feet again.
He sneers. “Is this too much for you? That’s just fine.” He sits in the chair Akira just vacated, hand dragging the gun forward and setting it on his thigh. “Get on your knees.”

Multiple moons came and went since the day Goro found Ren at the mouth of the path leading to the meadow.
Ren had lost count on just how many. Weeks passed and then months, and for a creature who hardly slept and lived forever, days felt like nothing compared in the grand scheme.
Looking back on it, it felt like no time at all, though that was probably because Ren remembered nothing but smokey images of the life he had before fangs dug into his flesh and he awakened anew to Goro hovering over his redead "corpse".
It was now just over two years since that day.
Just two years after Ren met Goro and his life changed forever, strange things start happening with his mate, and more importantly his body.

Ren scoffed and put a hand around Goro's wrist, pulling his hand harder onto his neck. "I-If you're going to talk about your relationship with my brother then you might as well just kill me," Ren huffed, looking up at Goro through his lashes. "But…I think we can help each other."
Akira's been far too busy being a Phantom Thief to pay much mind to his twin.
But that's no worry, Ren has a plan to make sure Akira won't ever leave his side again.

An encounter with a strange shadow causes Akira to de-age back into a child no older than six, and while looking after him, the Phantom Thieves quickly learn that their reserved and silent leader was once a very open and talkative kid.

Kurusu Akira was certainly not his loving housewife who he came home to after his 9-5 desk job. However, he certainly enjoyed acting the part. Especially the housewife part, Goro had thought then, sizing up the pretty little dress he had decided to wear that day as part of his disguise.
Goro gets reminded of his complete inability to resist Akira—especially with his hands tied behind his back and he wants nothing else but to steal him away from the world.
