Geralt of Rivia never asked to be a king. Through a mix of human paranoia and witcher pragmatism, he ended up crowned the so-called Warlord of Kaer Morhen, a title he despises almost as much as the politics that come with it. The spell finishes while Jaskier is already in the sea, where he is found by Geralt, a true-born mermaid who initially assumes he’s rescuing a drowning human until gills and a tail form in real time. Convinced by human propaganda that mermaids eat people, Jaskier panics and outs himself as cursed, human, and nobility all at once, drawing the immediate attention of Yennefer, who recognizes the political value of a human noble trapped underwater. Rather than curing him, she stabilizes the curse just enough to keep him alive, and useful, setting the stage for a manufactured crisis in which Jaskier becomes both proof and pawn in an escalating power struggle between humans and merfolk.

La batalla a terminado. El fuego quemo todo a su paso, destruyendo cada vida que se le cruzo, excepto una, la salvadora de Sodden será recordada para siempre con esa gran demostración de fuerza y poder, pero las historias siempre parecen centrarse más en ese parche de tierra sin quemar y lo que para la salvadora debió significar.
La tristeza cubre a Aretuza, la perdida y la traición rondan los pasillos, y la pena sigue especialmente a la rectora, que con el paso de los meses parece caer cada vez más en viejos hábitos, pues le han arrancado aquello que su corazón más amaba, su niña, Yennefer, las alumnas miran esto, miran a su rectora, siempre fuerte e implacable, volverse aun más dura y cruel que antes, pero hay algo que llama aun más su atención, la mujer que la sigue constantemente y que la rectora siempre parece ignorar.
Ficción de que pasaría si Yennefer hubiera muerto en la batalla de Sodden, pero que pasaría si incluso en la muerte, su terquedad la hiciera permanecer donde más quiere, con su amada rectora.

What if? This is a typical question after we've finished a movie or a book. This question had inspired this fanfiction too. What would happen if some characters didn't die during the attack of Stygga in Andrzej Sapkowski's Lady of the Lake? How would they affect the world of the Witcher later?
The protagonist of the story is Ciri, the Lioncub of Cintra. Maybe she is done with the events of Stygga, but her life doesn't become easier. And the real challenge of her life has just come.
Warning! This story contains spoilers of Sapkowski's Witcher series and the games by CDPR. I tried to remain faithful to the original story of the books, except for the events in Stygga so the storylines in connection with those needed to change. The story of the games had been changed multiple times.

Summary
Jaskier gets fired from his job as a professor at Oxenfurt because of his political views, though the official excuse is that he plagiarised a fellow professor’s work.
Assets seized in reparation, and with nothing more than the belongings he can carry, he ends up accepting a job interview to teach at Kaer Morhen. The school is high up in the mountains, considerably smaller than Oxenfurt, and teaches a far more exotic population of students.
Jaskier has never even met an elf, or a dwarf, or a dragon for that matter. Not to mention anything about the school’s legendary guardians, who, as it happens, don’t seem to like him at all. He can understand. After all, Oxenfurt is far from friendly to anyone that isn’t human. If they don't seem to expect much better from him, he'll just have to show them.
