Sooo... I had this idea a while ago and I prompted it in the gift exchange but it didn’t get written. I didn’t have a fully formed idea back then but now I have so I’m writing it!
There is a virus that only attacks metas and of course Team Flash transforms the labs to a makeshift hospital to help. It goes well for a bit but then things turn bad when Barry catches it and even his boosted immune system can’t fight it properly. Then as the cherry on top there’s a surprise person brought to them in a very bad state.

The effect is a lot diffferent then what Hydra had thought and they would do any things to get their hands on him. So now, Tony has to fight off Hydra while trying to keep his secret from his team. He finds help in an unexpected person.
After the Avengers, but before Iron Man 3. Tony still has the arc reactor.
