Summary
Two years ago, Jared met Jensen when the royal family traveled to his region in the kingdom. For two years, Jared dreamed of seeing the crown prince again after their brief encounter, even though he never thought that Jensen would remember him. After receiving the king’s offer of marriage for the crown prince’s hand to any nobleman who catches Jensen’s affection in any manner befitting, Jared answers the king’s call. Jared sets out from his castle keep with his trusted men, traveling to the Ackleses’ castle keep with the hope of competing for and winning Jensen’s hand. Unbeknownst to Jared, Jensen has never forgotten the taller boy, a boy who saw him for who he was and not for the crown he wears. Yet, two years later, the feelings Jensen and Jared share for each other might not be enough to crack the wall Jensen has built around his heart in fear that no one, not even Jared, would ever love him for anything other than his title and the crown he wears.
