Dream's phone pings with a message from George. The text reads "hey dream :) im still flying out there in a week, right?" He can't stop the whirlwind of his thoughts as they cascade through his mind. He thought back to when George was here only two short months ago. His mind keeps replaying the way that George would smile at him, hold his hand, hug him, wipe his tears, and look at him with such adoration Dream felt as though his skin would melt off.
His mind also (unhelpfully) supplied an image of George on his knees, his mouth wide open with the head of Dream's dick sitting on his tongue.
He answers George's text with a shaking breath, "yeah man, can't wait!"
He calls his dick a traitor.

(So much I made a really dark version of my original concept for this fic because I needed to and then a whole bunch of chapters just formed in a coupled days after the initial drop. Something more focused on their manipulative and imbalanced dynamic being more overt and pushed into romantic territory. I swear there’s some deep stuff for them after but it’s just wild over there, like Hannigram but like way worse lol. So… go peep that if you’re a freak. DO READ THE TAGS CAREFULLY OF THAT ONE THO PLS, it’s my first really dark fic, don’t wanna trigger anyone. It’s called “I love you, though you hurt me so”.)

Ruby and Yang were Qrow’s nieces, but Marrow treated them like they were his own, and still thought he needed to pay the corvid back for the money he spent on them.
It was cute.
Sweet.
Considerate.
Whatever adjective Qrow could use to justify the horrible, overwhelming fondness that bloomed in his chest whenever he was reminded of the canid faunus. There’s a tin of mini lollipops that live almost eternally in every room, ordered special from a candy maker in Menagerie and refilled monthly after Marrow had gotten him hooked while helping him go sober. He should’ve realized it then; just how far gone he was for this man who worked with him in managing him the most insane hunting team he’d ever met beside his own, and offered him such thoughtless consideration it left him dizzy. Now, all he can do is peer into snapshots of their lives and startle at how seamlessly they’ve blended together.
Or; Qrow abruptly realizes that he’s basically married to Marrow, and calls Taiyang in a panic. Tai, for his part, can’t help but think Qrow is a bit of an idiot for not noticing sooner.
