Summary
“To be honest, Sokka,” Ty Lee continues when he quiets. “You’re the one making it weird! You’re best friends, you’d both do anything for each other. That’s a good thing! It’s so nice to have someone who unconditionally supports you.”
Sokka grumbles, knowing his face has gone pink. “Yeah, well, dudes don’t do that mushy shit,” he says. Suki takes off her sandal and whacks him on the top of the head sharply. “Ow! Okay, sorry! Sure, we’re two dude best friends who love each other, can you leave me alone now?”When Sokka is thirteen, the grumpy boy and his weird uncle turn up in Wolf Cove. Zuko is rude, he's annoying, and he's a puzzle Sokka just can't solve. It's exactly what he needs to make things interesting around here.
A story about two teenagers making it to adulthood in their own ways.
They'll figure it out. -

Summary
Now that Zuko is a Spirit Speaker and harbors the Moon, his breath is mist and his footsteps leave frost on the rocky sands of the Earth Kingdom. The Siege of the North is over, but the war for the Fire Nation’s soul has just begun.
Zuko—a boy now forged of silver and sun-fire—finds himself the reluctant commander of a fleet of ghosts and outcasts. To the sailors of the broken armada, he is the martyr who bled for the 41st. To Ozai, he is a consummate traitor wanted dead or alive.

Summary
A brutal counteroffensive on the Day of Black Sun alters the trajectories of Zuko and Katara's fates, changing their lives forever.
This work delves deeply into the world of Avatar, staying true to much of the source inspiration while taking liberties so as to age it up and break down so many of those amazing themes and questions brought up in the show. Specific focus on trauma, guilt, and PTSD; on the moral gray area that war creates and the inevitability of having to do the hard thing over the right thing. Early chapters set the framework, but later chapters are some of my best writing.
Sprawling, long-form character study (mainly 3rd person, with 1st person flashbacks).
Rated M (read tags). Ignore AO3—work first published in August 2022.

Summary
"Don't listen to him, he's an idiot Water Tribe peasant who can't read!"
"Hey! I can read."
In a world without the Avatar, the people desperately craved a savior, someone to end the tyranny of the Fire Nation. This saviour had to be the Guardian, the one who could wield two elements. Then the world heard what child had become the Guardian, it was Princess Akemi of the Fire Nation, Fire Lord Ozai's eldest child. The world lost hope, blind loyalty of a daughter to her father and of a princess to her nation would cloud the Guardian's judgement and she would fight against the rest of the world.
This isn't the story of some girl becoming who she was meant to be, this is the story of Akemi paving her own road and shaping her destiny. And finding a family along the way.

Summary
What if Zuko had gone into his banishment alone, without Iroh, a ship and a crew? What if, after failing to capture the Avatar, he finally gave up and joined the Gaang (and turned into their protective older brother)? And how would that change his story and the stories of those around him?

Summary
Prince Zuko comes to the South Pole hunting the Avatar and instead gets blindsided by his furious betrothed: Lady Raven Arza, five feet of spoiled noble firebender who dodged her father's “you’re not allowed to go to war” rule by buying her own ship and chasing Zuko into it. She’s convinced he deserves to die; he’s convinced she’s lost her mind amidst her flurry of flaming whips. Unknown to both, an ancient weapon is about to awaken and change everything. Arzayanagi is a canon-divergent enemies-to-lovers epic.
Dedicated to my wife, who only vicariously loves me through my writings of Zuko.

Summary
“Fuck Z…Don’t look at me like that,” He whispered out. Sokka’s breath hitched as Zuko stared back at him, no clear thoughts in his brain.
“Like what?” Zuko’s eyes were barely open. The grudge he once had on the other boy disappeared.
“Like that…” Sokka nodded his head to gesture to the other boy. “Makes me want to kiss you.”
Something in Zuko snapped, all common sense out the window. “Then kiss me.”

Summary
One day, Jin is asked by her grandfather to accompany new arrivals in Ba Sing Se and what was supposed to be a quick act of kindness, changed her and those around here- hopefully for the better.
Zuko had his fair share of failure but this was insulting. He was not a prince anymore. That was alright- he didn’t want to be associated with his father anyway, but moving to the place of his uncle’s biggest dishonour was, well, dishonourable.
Jet was in search of a new start but old urges still haunted him. Within him is a battle to build a better life for his friends or to serve “justice”. A quick stop at the local tea shop might have been his downfall.
While the gaang try to navigate Ba Sing Se, another story is blossoming in the outer most ring that may change the course of the story for good.

Summary
The takeover of Ba Sing Se went splendidly for Azula. She got exactly what she wanted (at least, that's what she told herself) and did what she had been sent to do. She could return home to the Fire Nation as a victorious princess, once again proving her worth as the future Fire Lord.
One can only assume that, if things went well for Azula, then they did not end so well for Team Avatar.
Aang has to find himself a firebending teacher, and he knows time is running out before Ozai wreaks havoc during Sozin's comet. (which includes, but is not limited to, abandoning his daughter for world domination, causing the second genocide but it's Earth Kingdom edition, and overall being the jerk everyone knows he is)
Will Aang find a teacher?
Oh, yes he will.
He just has to keep his options open.
(aka Azula questions her life choices, Katara thinks bloodbending can be good, and everything descends into chaos for a while)

Summary
The gang is adjusting to life in Ba Sing Se when an unsuspected discovery lands them in custody of a surprisingly well-mannered Zuko (though his temper is a nasty thing). Exiled, powerless, and with a ridiculously large bounty on his head, Zuko has to decide how he's going to let the rest of his life play out. Trust grows gradually through trial and error, through war and laughter, and maybe just maybe through a belonging Zuko never imagined he'd feel again.
"If I am lost, light my path.
If I falter, temper my spirit.
Let my flame burn steady, not wild.
Let my fire bring warmth, not destruction.
Let me walk in balance, with honor of my own making."

Summary
Defending the Moon Spirit cost Zuko his birthright, branding him and his uncle traitors to the Fire Nation. Determined to survive on his own terms, Zuko’s solitary flight through the Earth Kingdom ended abruptly when Admiral Zhao cornered him near the Gaipan forest.
The prince was pulled from the brink of capture and far worse by Jet and the Freedom Fighters. While Zuko tried to hide behind the identity of a simple refugee named "Lee," his relentless work ethic and surprisingly soft nature for the camp’s youngest members caught Jet’s attention. What started as suspicion soon softened into an unexpected intimacy.
Now, known to Jet as his Firelily, Zuko refuses to choose between the crown and the camp. Driven by a new fire, he intends to reclaim the birthright that discarded him and build a new world alongside the family that finally claimed him.

I may have overtagged this, but better safe than sorry. I'll be posting as I refine the chapters. Currently, I have around 14 chapters done and a sequel already partially written. This is going to be a "long-fic."
