The being simply grumbles at him keeping its gaze on Dream pinning him in place. Unlike before the voice comes out weak, as if muffled, “Out of everyone on this damned existence I get this one?”
In that moment Dream entirely forgets the absurdity of the situation. “Hey! I’ll have you know I’m the best possible person to have you!”
The person? Glares as sharp as the blade at Dream. They radiate anger. Promising vengeance and death, “You don’t have me.”
Dream nearly scoffs at that. Uh yeah, he totally does.
Dream, stupidly, is not afraid to state this, “Well this is my dagger and you are….in my dagger? So yeah it carries.”
The being taps a slender finger against its arm, “You know. I’ve been stuck alone frozen in time in this blasted dagger for the past possible forty years but I think I prefer that over another second with you.”
Or, Dream’s in for a surprise after capturing the most desired blade in all the realms. Perhaps he should have done his research…
