Stiles leans against the shaking machine and stares blankly at the book in his hands. He doesn’t remember the last time he had a real meal. He pushes his glasses back up his nose and tries to use the sounds of an empty laundromat to motivate him to read more. He’d managed to reanimate a corpse but the spell had worn off too quickly to test the Kerastes venom properly. He had to get this right soon, he was bound to get caught sneaking around the local graveyards, until he had his research approved he would be in danger of being caught and charged with a felony.
“Maybe if I add more of-”Stiles stopped mumbling out loud when he heard the door open and someone step into the once empty room.
“Oh don’t stop on my account darling.” Came a rumbling, cocky voice from above him.
“Please don’t be who I think it is” Stiles whispered, clenching his eyes closed tight in denial. -

Stiles is dancing.
He's nearly knee-deep in the freeze of it all, a paper bag of roasted peanuts and jellybeans swaying precariously in his hand, lines from the play and laughter spilling from his sugar-salted lips, dancing.
Derek's lungs, twinkling from the sharp, crisp air, forget altogether how breathing's supposed to get done. His heart seems to decide to pick up the slack, and the butterflies in his belly are honestly so juvenile he's a little surprised at himself.
Stiles twirls with the wind and the snowflakes and the height of his damnable ridiculousness, sunshine eyes bursting supernovas when he smiles, all that bright in him just pouring recklessly out. Like it's infinite, endless, like he doesn't have to worry about reaching the bottom and coming up empty. And the fresh snow soaks up all that lovely, reflects it back until even the stars can only stare on in jealousy.
Derek wants to tell him he's being an idiot, wants to tell him he's going to catch a fucking cold, wants to wrap his loose scarf more warmly around his bare, cinnamon-speckled sweet-cream throat.
But he's still trying to remember how to breathe.

After barely saving Tommy from plunging into lava, Dream became somewhat worried for the teenager, and assigned himself the role of watching over him, making sure Tommy didn't try anything like that again. He'd always been painted as the villain, and, to be truthful, he was sometimes, but this time? No, this was genuine concern. And he was going to make sure Tommy was okay no matter what.
Tommy hated it. He felt like eyes were burning into his soul at every waking moment. After his moment of weakness in the Nether, he never had a moment alone, and sure, he would've been glad for that, he would've thanked any god there could possibly be that he was no longer alone, except the problem was with his company...the one rival he'd had for years.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya is unlucky, to say the least and life hasn't exactly been kind. Things weren't so bad in the beginning, but once he was diagnosed quirkless, well, it all went to shit. Everyone grew to hate him, even his best friend and own father.
Was it really that impossible to become a hero without a quirk? It doesn't really matter because to Izuku, the term hero is flexible. He'll be his own hero because he's learnt from his own experience, people are selfish and the only one he can rely on is himself.
Left alone to fend for himself in the world, Izuku goes out to change things on his own terms, despite his methods being slightly illegal. Keyword, slightly. It's only illegal if he gets caught, right?
