Hizashi, both because he feels responsible for turning the man and for his love of his friend, decided that he will stay with Shouta and help him out. Denying your real nature is painful and both bad for the mind and body. Hizashi needs to start slow and small, a glass a day will help.

This fanfic is one of those turning points. It changed not only the way I interact with canon, but also left its own mark on my heart like an original story would. It’s almost its own thing, actually.
This story also made me realize that I can totally continent hop with mythologies for urban fantasy bc travel/immigration, and realerted me to the potential of fantastical farm gays, which was Major inspiration for my original story. My working title is still Alabamastory, in honor of this fic, despite it not being set in Alabama!
