Summary
Maybe planning on looking for the murdered of Katara and Sokka's mother wasn't the best idea. Maybe that was crossing a boundary. And maybe, just maybe, someone with far better emotional intelligence would have found a better way to talk things out with the youngest of the water tribe siblings.
Zuko has the emotional intelligence of a turtleduck and doesn't want to keep being splashed with water every time he as much as walks ten meters close to Katara, so.
-
Katara didn't learnt bloodbending against her will just for her to not practice it later, it hurt her to learn, and she will make sure to polish that pain into something to help her stop some of the hurt the fire nation has caused her.

Summary
Five years after the war ended, everyone is having a hard time making their part to make the world a better place and to mend every thing the Fire Nation has wronged, which means Katara ends in the Northern Water Tribe coordinating their relationships with the South Pole, and Zuko finds himself as a visitor to get on his advisors' nerves.
Katara finds training waterbending a nice way to clear her mind, and wants to share those feelings with Zuko. Zuko agreeds to train with her, and finds it pretty exciting. Until it isn't.
Zuko is a little bit scared of Katara, and Katara is... herself. And really bad at reading Zuko.

Summary
Katara doesn't trust Zuko when he finds them —again— claiming it to be his destiny to teach Aang firebending. No one trusts him, and Katara is pretty sure she is not the only one debating whatever to push him off the edge of the temple right there and then, but when he offers himself as their prisoner, who is she to disagree?

Growing up in a stressful environment with high expectations could leave anyone with sequels. Stress, anger issues, the communication skills of a rock, the works.

Summary
“He’s still fucking mad at me; are you trying to get me killed when I have a headache? I thought we were good, Mal.” Ordinarily, she’d take those words as playful ribbing. Unfortunately, he genuinely seemed to mean it.
“We are good, Robbie, he’s going to help.”
“He’s going to kill me.”
“No. He’d have to go through me.”
“He’s going to put me out of my misery. That’s the only way he can help.”
Mal blinked. “Rob, he was a physiotherapist. You know that, right?”
OR: Rob has a bad pain day right after taco bell night (& identity reveal) and has to spend time in the precarious presence of Flambae in hopes of getting less OW
