Summary
"—He says you're not calculating that shit stuck to your leg... dumbass."
Yes. He is. Yet it doesn't matter how much fuel he saves up, how far off in the city he gets, the suit still blows up, and he dies in the crash. Why is he even trying? He could just hand it over and be done with this— No. Robert isn't a damn quitter. He's going to try something else this time; maybe falling into the sea will buy him some time? Unless he just drowns beforehand.
"Fuck it."

Summary
The family legacy was to die in that suit. His legacy was to live, knowing death would follow him out of the crevices of those metal corners and into the lives of those around him. Those foolish enough to interact, to reach out, to care.
In which Robert reflects on the events leading up to the death of Elliot Connors and faces difficulties in accepting himself as both Mecha Man and Robert Robertson. He trips, stumbles, and struggles to find his footing. His loved ones are there to steady him.

Summary
Waking up with a headache was nothing new to Robert, but he hasn’t grown up to be a fan of it yet. Stretching in his plastic chair and pressing his knuckles against the area between his eyebrows eases the pain, soothing it from a sharp one to a dull, more in the background one, giving Robert a chance to stand up and feel the blood flow try it best to keep him from swaying.
The bathroom lights blind Robert for a brief second when he turns them on, regretting his choice to do so when he is greeted by his reflection in the mirror.
If Robert has issues that go above what he can, or wants to, work through by himself, will they take him down or will someone finally snap him out of it?

Summary
Robert Robertson was a shadowed man. It usually wasn't intentional, he simply played the best hand he could with the cards he was given; But once, it was very different. Before the shitty apartment, back home, in a nicely lit house. One that was never truly quiet, that's now barren walls once echoed with the sounds of children's laughter and the smell of homecooked meals... But that was the past, and he had to put it behind him, even if it kept him awake at night. Perhaps, a certain Fire-y hero could help him with his grief? As well as some more friends along the way to real recovery.
OR: Robert was once married to a man, with two adoptive children. When all three of those people die, he was let with barely anything. After spending years in grief, he finally got revenge on Shroud, the killer of them all. At least, thats what he thought, until Shroud escaped prison. With all of the chaos that's going on, he cannot recover alone. Flambae (alongside Chase and the Z-Team) are here to help.

Summary
“Tell me. Robert Robertson the Third. Mecha Man. Hero.” There’s something soft in the thing’s voice. Almost reverent. “What do you want?”
His body wants to shut down. His mind wishes for oblivion. The answer is obvious.
“Put me…back into…the fight.” He rasps.
“Very well,” he can hear it smiling, “let’s get to work.”
Or, in simpler terms…let’s do it all over again.

Summary
Just because he now has a better life now doesn't mean his mind is better. Robert still struggles with chronic pain, self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, poverty mindset, his experience with Courtney, and generally caring for himself. The Z-Team refuses to let him drown in his misery.

When Elliot Connors shot Robbie Robertson, Robert was only 11 years old. Instead of going to therapy or continuing schooling. Robert dedicates himself to becoming Mecha Man in his father’s absence. Summary
Robert Robertson has been living the past few months for two years. It isn't like every day is the same, but it isn't like he has total control of his actions or the things that happen. The suit breaks, he wakes from a coma, dispatches a little, then locks up Shroud to do it all again. He's learned a lot, done a lot, and failed a lot all through six four month loops. What he's learning this time, is he's tired, this time all he wants to be is tired.
His definition of being tired might differ from the usual, just as the key events start to differ from their usual.
Chad is confident he knows who this man is, has seen his face, known his walk, heard his words before. But at the same time he can't quite put his finger on it. But Chad is no quitter.
OR
Robert is stuck in a timeloop and is admittedly very sick of it, he's just going to do what he wants this time, no researching just bullshitting.
Chad really wants to know who the hell this dispatcher is and why he radiates déjà vu.

"Blood on the floor, and broken doors. Shattered windows and the howling wind rattling the empty frames of unloved furniture left to wilt like flowers in the fall."
{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}
I've seen a small handful of fics of super-human or non-human Robert Robertson III, and stumbled across a mouthwatering vamp fic that had my brain signals misfiring so here I am, back from the dead, and without the promise of consistent chapters or plot. Linked at the bottom of this small rant.
Forewarning, I haven't played or really watched any Dispatch gameplays, which I will be working on! I promise.
However there is an undoubtedly likelihood to be possible inaccuracies.Check this fic out, it's incredibly well-written and is still in the works; https://archiveofourown.org/works/76066591/chapters/199039291 !!
(EDITED - Chapters 1 & 2 merged with added content, chapter 3 moved to chapter 2's place alongside more content.)

Summary
Robert Robertson was a weird name, considering he had never fit the role in the first place. Every single part about him had been strangely not fit for any of the parts he had been assigned to at birth. He was always so caught up on this one simple fact, or maybe it had been his father. He guessed Robert Connors fit him much better.
or
a universe where Elliot Connors was a lot more involved in Robert's upbringing, changing both Robbie's and Elliot's futures.

Summary
Robert doesn't know who he is outside of the suit. He feels like there's nothing for him to live for after the explosion, and he has a bad habit of carelessly throwing himself into danger, passively hoping he'll kick the bucket. His dog, Beef, is the only thing holding him back from doing the unthinkable.
When he starts dispatching for the Z-Team, things start to change as he gets closer to them. They see him struggling and decide to help in the ways they can. He finds a family there that he never thought he'd have.
Meanwhile, Robert is getting especially close to Flambae. He keeps finding himself both dragged and drawn towards him like a moth to flame. He struggles with the guilt of not being able to tell him that he's also Mecha Man while their friendship develops. Oh, and he might be falling for him, too, and that just makes things worse. Can he even hope that things will turn out okay?

Summary
On Friday, Blonde Blazer found a new sucker to try (and fail) to wrangle the infamous Z-Team at SDN's Torrance location. On Friday, they all bet he'd be gone by Monday. On Monday, he showed up. On Tuesday, he showed up again. On Wednesday, they got to put a face to the voice.
He was the most basic and boring man he’d ever seen in his life. Average height, average brown hair cut into an average look, with big doe eyes and even bigger bags underneath them, a freckled face supported by a frame so thin and frail looking a soft breeze might knock him on his ass. All in all, he was entirely unremarkable in any and every way. Kind of cute, but in the same way a malnourished puppy covered in mud on the side of the road was cute.
