    We often have the trope of Flambae pursuing Robert. He feeds him, warms him, gets him to therapy, etc etc.
    But!
    My mind has now gone to what if it's Robert aggressively pursuing Flambae instead?
    Our man is not shy in his flirtations; we know this canonically. He looked at Blazer after she saved him and thought to himself, "I can hit this." You can see and hear it in him in their shared bar scene.
    And now we can, and will, apply the same logic to Flambae and him.

    Somehow, it ends with Eddie spending New Year's in the arms of Steve, the unbelievably sweet man who received his card and made it his mission to find Eddie via the power of the internet.
    In the middle of it all, the winter holidays come and go, but the story isn't about that; it's about life that keeps on going between the cracks of holiday cheer. It's a story of texting for miles, processing grief, accepting kindness, attempting self-growth, falling in love so hard and fast it feels almost impossible, and a very cute emotional support cat.
