Peters morning started like every other morning. He got up, with a headache of fucking course. He looked at the time…

It was 8 am, school started at 7:55 am. He was already late, and he wasn’t even on his way! He quickly scrambled to get to school, atleast looking half alive. And not like he was out on a mission from SHIELD until 4 am and then also did some quick patrol rounds, so he only got home around 6 am.

Harley’s voice was barely a whisper, and without his super hearing, Peter would have missed it completely. Harley was looking down at the ground, his hands shaking. Peter looked over at him, instantly noticing the stark difference to before. He was no longer the calmer, comforting one of the pair of them.
“Okay, Harls.” The nickname slipped out easily. “I won’t, I promise.”

Tony’s funeral takes everything out of Peter. He’s emotional, constantly on the brink of a panic attack, and missing his mentor like a limb. But this new person, a boy a similar age to him, is helping him survive the grief that’s overwhelming him.
