Summary
Ichigo returns to Karakura changed by his experiences in Tokyo and determined to live his life to the fullest, but life is never easy for him.
Kugo Ginjo comes into his life intent on interfering, offering him power he has no interest in, but he poses a danger to those Ichigo considers his, so he has to go.
Meanwhile, Soul Society comes under attack of a forgotten enemy, and old sins come back to haunt an institution that has stood for more than two thousand years, threatening to change the very foundations of the universe.

Summary
The gate is small, innocuous where it sits nestled in the corner of the abandoned warehouse. The light of the swirling vortex a faint blue of cloudless skies, making streams of water that spill through the cracks in the roof glitter in the dark. The edges warp and flicker with streaks of red as dark, bloody arcs of lightning lash out, leaving behind craters in wood and stone wreathed in ethereal fire.
Time seems to freeze, the world holding its breath in mounting horror. With a groan of a thousand dying souls, blue becomes red as it explodes outward, consuming everything it touches.
The Earth shakes as the first steps through the gate with a tortured shriek of tearing metal.
The end begins with a thundering roar.

She sits down with a sigh- her body feeling the weight of a million tons and yet nothing at once. "Sorry I'm late", she says, shrugging out of her coat. It's an off-yellow in the corner, where it touched on a patient's open dressing. She doesn't notice; nor would she care if she did.
"It's fine- the party doesn't start until Medical gets here," Naruto jokes, a cheap cup of hospital grade coffee in one hand and a pen in the other. A stack of consults are spread on the table, with Naruto’s chicken scratch writing penning in lab results and exam findings alike.
"Of course," Sakura replies primly. "After all, how else will Sasuke know what to do without me?"
