Summary
Mitchell ran away from the Pritchett household in 1989 at age 17, leaving nothing behind but a crumpled, tearstained note. Claire had thought that she would never see him again, and she had come to accept that, as painful and awful as it was. After so long, she had even come to think that Mitchell could be dead.
