Where megatron was literally built to harness the power of a black hole.
I like the writing style. Project hail Mary vibes, with the amount of of scientific talk and math. Ratchet also casually dumps a lot of technical terms and processes because of his experience as a doctor. Love it.
This fic is actually, really, suprisingly good. Very good quality. Did not expect this. I want to save it but don't know where. Kind of BAMF???? More of a REACTION I suppose.
HUGE AMOUNT of headcannons (and maybe character building).The first third or so isn’t as interesting (and deceptions and automates don’t quite start working together until thenH, but the overarching arching plot and overall elements were done very well. You can see the character development and the way character dynamics slowly change.
Very, very try interesting how they portray the discrimination deceptions faced, their caused, and how Ratchet ends up joining the deception cause. Lots of emotional feels.
I also liked how Ratchet was the centre of this fic. His medical knowledge and role in history made him a very good character to be a narrator/POV. And when it comes to trauma and medical horror, he has got narration covered.
And liked how he almost seems to fall into a “defacto leader” with the auto bots, being usually very strict and upright.
Kind of want to put this into the “adoration” collection, but IDK if the first half fits. It has slow development, which is a testament to the author’s skill.Other than terminology, sci fi robot horrorand skilful development, I don’t know what other writing styles stand out. At least, it things I can currently make use of.

Amazing. Such a creative interpretation.
Ms Frizzle is something not quite human, has lived a little too long, and Liv isn’t always a lizard.Time is not linear, not for Ms Frizzle, and the story telling is very nice. Ms Frizzle has seen dark things during the 1900s. References to decking under table exercises for bombing.
Added to "writing style" because the way they show an unreliable narrator is very nice, with time being non-linear for Ms Frizzle.

Why the frick was this genuinely one of the best OC inserts I have ever read in my life??
There's an Izuku and Katsuki relationship, without completely changing their cannon dynamic (they fight, they are NOT best buddies and friends, but they do support each other. Occasionally.)
Katsuki bullies everyone else into therapy, while still complaining about them.I also find it really interesting how the author emphasises (or creates headcannons) how some of Izuku's actions (at least in this fic) really are quite creepy, stalkerish, and deserve to be called out (eg, fic mentions how his "hero journals" and observations about Katsuki can be quite invasive and and violating of personal privacy, despte Izuku's non-harmfu intentions).

My favourite parts are fic 20, where a Vadar reveals fic identity as a spy to send him safely home, and 5-6, where Leia first meets and interacts and befriends Vadar.

My gosh the small interactions between the crew (before they die may I add) is killing me. It’s an absolute crime we didn’t get more interactions between them, and thank god for this author single handily building up the fandom fic by fic.

Yáo was struggling along as Ilyukhina exited her trailer, and she hurried over to help him. They locked arms as they walked, the one catching the other when they slipped.
“How do you walk so easily?” Yáo asked after a short while of cautious walking. Ilyukhina had slipped maybe two times, while Yáo had at least a dozen.
“You’ve got to stomp,” Ilyukhina answered. “You usually walk heel-toe, heel-toe. On ice, you’ve got to stomp. Put your whole foot down at the same time.”
Yáo paused for a moment then resumed walking. Well, more marching. His shoulders moved in perfect hiccuping rhythm with his legs, and his face fell into a natural stoic look as he stared straight ahead, instead of at the ground where he had previously been looking.
“Yes, this is much better.”

How to ruin the mood, a guide by Ilyukhina:“If one of us doesn’t make it,” she whispered into his (surprisingly soft) hair, “I just wanna say you’re a great Commander. A great man overall, too.”
“Thank you, Ollie. You’re a spectacular Engineer and woman overall. It has been an honour knowing you thus far.”
A long moment passed, the two of them staying like that. He was warm and broad despite his relative shortness to her. Strong arms made for a comforting feeling spreading warmth in her chest.
Ilyukhina finally said, “Kinda slutty that we’re hugging in our underwear.”
“Ilyukhina.”
“…Yáo.”
“Don’t ruin the moment.”- In the fic, it is broadcasted ion TV that Grave Ryland is replacing the third dead scientist. okay but, imagine the KIDS who he taught going “THAT’S OUR TEACHER?!? MR RYLAND?! THE COOL ONE?!”

Losing his heart definitely hasn’t affected Howl the way it does most humans. Howl is the opposite of gray and dull. He is fickle and flighty and fey, with eyes that are just a touch too bright and skin that is just a trifle too perfect, and a graceful way of moving that is just a shade—yes, just a shade—inhuman.
- fickle, flighty, and FEY. Fey is a beautiful way to describe Howl. Perfect word. Someone so beautiful, just a touch too much to be human, a fey.
Not that the stupid, silly girls he courts seem to notice, lured in by his beauty, by his pretty speeches and the tremble in his voice when he tells them how awful it is, living without a heart, how he’s suffering.
Howl suffers so artistically.
- I love how the author takes Howl’s suffering, and spins it into something gorgeous. The contrast and is beautiful
—-there’s a war on and Howl. Does. Not. Eat. He flies around as a giant bird and he burns magic at a fantastic rate, and he doesn’t eat and he just gets thinner and thinner and more and more beautiful, as if he’s burning from the inside, burning away everything that makes him merely human.
- the fact that as Howl burns away, the author adds the adjective ‘beautiful’, which is such a contrast to the suffering starvation Howl is experiencing and should look , making him feel just that much more inhuman
