Summary
Tommy woke on the morning of his 16th birthday to a silent house. There wasn’t a single sign of life, not the creaking stairs or clattering from the kitchen. Not the slamming of doors or raised voices. No surprises there though, he thought bitterly. He gladly would’ve taken even the shouting over the silence, he’d endure the screaming if it meant there was at least some noise.
But at some point in the last five years, the laughter had turned to shouting and the shouting had turned to… silence.

Summary
“Tommy? What’re you doin up at…” He glanced at his laptop screen, shining brightly in the dark room, squinting to make out the time. “3.45am? Theseus?” He looked worriedly down at his 12-year-old brother. Techno was definitely not the best person to deal with this. Crying had never been his forte, it had always been more Phil’s thing, or even Wilbur’s.
He really should not be doing this at 3.45am on a school night, or at all, as he was only a year older than Tommy himself. This should be Phil, hugging Tommy and wishing him goodnight, wiping tears from his eyes as Techno slept peacefully just down the hall. But evidently Phil had failed in that aspect of parenting as well.(set in the same universe as "only thing we share (is one last name)", and is a prequel-ish. Might make more sense if you read the other in the series, but not required.)

Summary
A little over a year had passed since Techno and Tommy had finally moved out of their childhood home. They were happy in the apartment, the four of them closer than ever despite how awkward it had been at first with the unexpected addition of Techno to the already cramped house.
This particular Saturday in mid-July saw Tommy sprawled across the sofa, head resting in Techno’s lap as the older carded gently through his golden hair. Ranboo was sat on the armchair, flicking through netflix with a bored expression, and Tubbo could be heard attempting to make popcorn in the kitchen. It was peaceful. A sharp, persistent knock broke the silence.

“Techno! Techno get over here! Now!”there, in the doorway, his brown hair slightly longer and messier than Techno remembered, stood his older brother.

Summary
“-nd it’s beach day! Dad said to come get you because we let you sleep in reeaaalllly late, and he said we need to go soon if we want to get there for low tide! Come on, I want to go to the beach! Come on, come on, come on!”
Wilbur too grinned then, he’d almost forgotten about the beach! It was a tradition at this point. Every summer, usually for his birthday, all four of them would head down to the beach for the day. Even Techno, who usually avoided emotions at all costs, was smiling fondly.They didn't know it yet, but later the brothers would sit in Wilbur’s room, comforting him, as Phil shouted down the phone downstairs. Later, Techno and Tommy would exchange nervously understanding looks over Wilbur’s sleeping form. Later, much later, Techno would realise something had changed that day.
But now. Right now, in this moment, Technoblade knew he was going to be okay. He was with his brothers, and he could be nothing but safe when they were there.

Phil tutted, shaking his head. “Really Techno, you shouldn’t buy your brother random things without occasion, you’ll only spoil him mate. Besides, you should be saving for Uni, I can’t cover everything.”
The tension in the room was palpable, Techno glaring daggers at their father. Staring intently at his meal, Wilbur flicked occasional looks upwards. Tommy seemed… Not surprised, but almost heartbroken. His voice when he next spoke was so small it almost made Wilbur flinch.
