Summary
It started out as a joke with Killer asking Nightmare who his favourite kid was. The King of Negativity gave the generic parent answer of not having a favourite while Error had no problem in saying his. They had laughed it off, thinking it a joke. It’s not till the Stars make the biggest mistake in their lives that they realise just how serious Error actually was.

Summary
Christmas has always been a big deal in Nightmares castle, it has to be with Killer living there. But Cross has never really celebrated the holiday, at least not to the extent the gang does. It’s a shock to the ex-solider when he actually receives presents, something that has his new family determined to make this the best Christmas of his life

Summary
Cross can count on one hand how many times it has happened. It’s something that so rarely makes itself known that half the time he forgets it’s even an issue. It’s not like there are warning signs either, no gradual build up or feeling that it’s about to happen. He’ll just wake up one day and know that it’s started. But it hasn’t happened for almost three years and he doesn’t think about it all that much or at all until he wakes up in Nightmare’s castle one day and the very thought of food makes him ill.
The problem is that sometimes, food is just an obstacle that seems far too hard to navigate for Cross at times.

Summary
Over the years, Dust has made leaps and bounds with his progress to a happier and stable state of mind. It’s a combination of the support of his new family, speaking with a trusted Psychiatrist that Nightmare had tracked down as well as working on himself personally. Because of all this, he hasn’t seen the phantom of his younger brother in years, hasn’t heard voices hissing in his ear for just as long. He’s doing better…but he still can’t help but feel stagnant in his life. His Psychiatrist had helped him realise the root of the issue, that while he sees Killer and Horror as brothers, they aren’t his younger brothers. Because that is really the main issue he’s having, that he used to be a big brother and now he’s not.
So when Nightmare showed up in the castle with a teenager, a kid, it greatly mattered to Dust.

Summary
Killer can still remember what it was like in those early days, when he was first picked up by Nightmare and brought into an environment where he had a chance to slow down and process things. He can still remember the guilt, the panic, the regret that finally had a chance to set in, still remember how Nightmare refused to numb him completely because the Guardian knew how important it was to feel these emotions. And eventually, that pain grew less prominent, the guilt less all consuming, the regret not as sharp. He learnt to live, learnt to forgive himself and he will do everything in his power to help Cross forgive himself as well.

Summary
It came as a surprise for Cross to learn that every single inhabitant of Nightmare’s castle had a pet of some description. Killer had his mancoon cat Bigwig, Dust had his two rats Daisy and Holly, Horror had his three chickens Gwendolyn, Gertie and Sasha, Nightmare had three freshwater fish tanks in his study and even Error had the stereotypical pet rock most Sans’ and Papyrus’ had. It came as even more of a surprise when Nightmare approached him one day and offered to get him a pet of his own.
TLTR: otherwise known as how Cross got a pet of his very own

Summary
Nightmare and Error needed a break. Being Gods is hard enough but when you're also parenting four mentally unstable mortals it is no wonder they find themselves needing a much needed holiday. It was easy enough to get Dust and Horror sorted, they would be going to stay with Horror’s brother for the week. Killer and Cross were another issue. They wouldn’t put Horror’s brother through the arduous task of looking after all four of their boys, they weren't that evil after all. But they also didn’t trust the two to be left in the castle unsupervised. Out of options, Nightmare decides to call in a well overdue favour.

Summary
When XGaster was defeated and X-Tale was restored, the universe as a whole made it clear to the wider multiverse they wished to be left alone. They did not wish for multidimensional visitors, didn’t want to be disturbed by the hustle and bustle of Gods and outcodes. This was respected and they didn’t contact the outside world other than to demand Cross’ return, stating that as he was underaged and a native to X-Tale he belonged in his home universe. It had resulted in a somewhat long custody battle between the X-Tale natives and Nightmare and Error that was settled by the multiverse council. The council had decided to allow Nightmare and Error to keep custody of Cross due to evidence of past child abuse.
Everyone thought this would be the end of it, that they could continue living their lives in peace. It would seem X-Tale was more determined than they let on to retrieve that which they falsely believed to be theirs.

Summary
When Error first saw Nightmare, the Dark Guardian had barely been half a century old. The young Guardian was still learning about his powers, still figuring out his place in the wider multiverse. For a being as old as Error, who had seen and experienced so much to the point that everything felt stagnant and predictable, he found the new God fascinating. Nightmare was new, exciting, was a light in the darkness that drew Error in like a moth to flame. It was the start a deep, complex and beautiful relationship that would change the multiverse for the better.

Summary
Nightmare would be the first to say he wasn’t an expert on medical issues or how to help those that suffered from chronic illnesses. Sure, he himself had residual pain around his skull from the incident that took his right eye as well as being obviously blind on his right side, but it was different. He was managing himself, not others. He didn’t think he’d ever have to look after another living being with chronic pain and illness.

Summary
Desiderium; An ardent desire or longing, particularly a feeling of loss or grief for something lost.
Most days it’s nothing more than a faint after thought, a distant memory that struggles to stay relevant. Other days it’s a weight that sits in the back of his mind, always there but not overwhelming. And some days, it’s a heavy shroud that hangs off his shoulders, that whispers insidious things into his acoustic meatus, an intrusive thought that refuses to leave. It’s been getting better, the bad days becoming less frequent as time moves on and helps to heal old wounds. But it would be foolish, naive even to assume there would ever be a time where there wouldn’t be bad days. Grief doesn’t fade away after all. Grief stays while people grow around it. And with grief often comes feelings of guilt, depression and sometimes even anger.
TLTR;
Dust is having a bad day and while everyone else knows to stay away and give him space Cross isn’t about to let his new brother suffer aloneSeries

Summary
They have a set of code words to alert each other of different things. ‘Fog on the moors’ means Killer’s eyesight is rapidly deteriorating because he hasn’t been taking his medication. ‘Vesuvius’ is a warning that Dust is about to have an IED episode. ‘Mercy’ is the code used during missions that tells everyone to drop everything they are doing and evacuate back to the castle. No one wants to hear any of the code words but the code they want to hear the least is probably ‘The Stock Market Is Crashing’.

Summary
Okay, so maybe trusting the most scatterbrained monster known in the multiverse to keep an eye on his Nephew wasn’t Dream’s brightest moment. In his defence, he thought Ink would understand how important the job was and would actually pay attention for once in his life. Now he just needs to find Cross before Nightmare and Error find out he lost their youngest kid or else his immortal life might be over.

Summary
X-Tale had been one of the few universes that didn’t have daemons. XGaster had seen them as a weakness, a hindrance, an imperfection and thus had written them out of the code completely. When X-Tale collapsed leaving behind Cross and Chara, they learned through Ink what daemons were. Both had been intrigued by the concept but hadn’t really thought too much on it. When Ink stopped visiting, when they were forgotten and left behind they screamed for vengeance, a cry that was heard by a dark God.
When Nightmare rescued them from the ruins of their world, when they left the shattered code behind, they never imagined they would gain so much. No longer are they just Cross and Chara. Now they are Cross-Elisha and Chara-Heshel. To the outside eye, Cross has two daemons, something that's never been seen before. But they know, they know Heshel isn’t Cross’.
TLTR: what if the norm was that most universes had daemons with only a select few not having them? What if Xtale was one of those few? What if Cross and Chara gained their daemons after leaving Xtale behind?

Summary
Sometimes, in very brief moments, Horror forgets who they have become. In quiet fleeting moments he will look in the mirror and not understand how or why his skull is cracked wide open. In fast flashes, he feels confusion at being addressed as Horror, mind struggling to comprehend why Sans isn’t the name passing others lips. In quick moments of panic, he stares in startled terror at his daemon who stands before him in a different body bearing a different name. And unlike Killer and Dust, Horror finds himself sometimes longing for the days when he’d been Sans, for the days when Antheia had been Danita.

Summary
Dust doesn’t often think about the before. More often than not, he finds himself actively trying to completely forget about his old life, his old name, his old soul. If he had it his way, that part of his life would be completely erased from existence, forgotten and left to rot. Eira makes that near impossible with her knowing eyes and bared fangs, hackles raised as she hissed at him to ‘never forget where we came from, never forget who we lost.’ Dust longed to let go of his past. Eira fought to hold onto it even if she detested her old name and still panicked at the sight of another badger shaped daemon.

Summary
They weren’t always as close as they are now. For a time they were as distant as a person and daemon could be with each other without being separated. For nearly a year Fran had refused to speak with Killer, refused to touch him and had done everything she could to not even look at him. For a year she had been nothing but a ghost, silent and judging as Killer seemingly went about murdering their friends and family willingly. It took her and Killer himself a year to realise they had been hacked, had been changed against their will and forced into the life they were now living.
