Summary
Safe to say the Gun Adventure did not go well. Caine is smart enough to admit that. HOWEVER he IS intrigued by the situation it brought on --- it's unprecedented! Two humans abstracting at the same time is very, very bad, and losing Jax and Pomni so soon after Kaufmo would be terrible for team morale! The solution is simple: cut out the abstracted and corrupted bits, but that leaves two halves.
Fortunately, two halves just so happen to make a whole. So what if the result is a little unconventional?
AKA
Pomni and Jax start to abstract after the Caine gives them all guns. They fight and fight and fight until finally locking themselves away, and the others would be lying if they said they weren't grateful for the newfound lapse in argument.
But something changes. A new character shows up in the circus --- an uncanny combination of their two missing companions --- and an oddly sentient abstraction begins to stalk them. Turns out, abstraction is a complicated process. You shouldn't shove a brass key into a combination lock. They both might break.

Jax abstracted. Suddenly, and unexpectedly, and lacking any of the signs the others who have been here longer have said traditionally come with a full out, person-ending abstraction.
Jax abstracted, and he's gone, and Gangle should feel something about that. Sadness, most likely, but even happiness would probably be understandably valid enough. Just... Anything.
She's Gangle. Feeling too much is what she does.
But Jax abstracted. And Gangle doesn't feel %$!#.

A baking adventure takes place in the circus. Ragatha is excited to finally bake again, and she and Pomni make some cupcakes together, for the rest of the cast. But Jax has been in his room all day, and Pomni decides to bring him his cupcake, and hopefully, get to talk to him. Ever since their fight, it was like they had made a silent promise to each other and never speak again. Ribbit arrives to the Circus as a 17 year old, same age as Felix (later known as Jax), who arrived there a year before him. The two develop a strong friendship, leading to something more... However, as Ribbit's mental health gets worse, he becomes abusive towards his partner. It makes him abstract, but Felix, still attached to his partner, mourns his loss deeply. He wanted to reach out to Ragatha, but she left him when Ribbit got abusive. Felix changes his identity, going from the shy, gentle one, to the "evil one", desribing himself as the funny one and naming himself Jax. Years later, he meets Pomni, who reminds him of Ribbit, causing him to abstract....
