Summary
Thanksgiving isn't celebrated by the gods, but they do hold a giant party and feast in the later hours of the day, so they kind of do. Since Zeus is so busy making sure that the party foods and decor will show off to all those that attend, he doesn't really watch any of the other gods on Thanksgiving, so they have a day where they are free to do whatever they want, and they aren't even required to go to the party. Apollo sure doesn't want to stay on Olympus or go to the party, and he has a few friends who want to spend their Thanksgiving with him.

Meg McCaffrey is not ignorant or stupid. So she notices that her best friend, the god Apollo, always mentions his father in two ways: either as his king, or as someone that delivers punishment.
Needless to say, given what Apollo had been coaching her with (remembering that Nero and the Beast were one in the same), she noticed a few red flags that made one picture. Which was big red flag, saying that someone was hurting her friend.
