Sae wouldn’t say he was obsessed. It wasn’t obsession. It couldn’t be. He was not someone to get obsessed. Especially not about someone. So naturally, given the circumstances, he would rather use the word … intrigued. He was intrigued about Ryusei. It was his curiosity that made him look up his profile on their college website to remember both his schedule and dorm room. It was his interest in him that made Sae go to an art exhibition where Ryusei’s work took up a small portion of. It was his need to get behind the unknown that made him stay up all night and stalk Ryusei’s personal accounts on all social media platforms - heck he even found his linkedin.
or; Sae is very much in denial about his obsession with Shidou and lives with the consequenses of a very eventful night. Shit goes down and it ends up changing his whole life.

After all, he was merely the first emergency contact due to paperwork technicalities, his manager had established this. Ego was still listed as the second emergency contact. Let Ego come and look after one of his projects. He’d ensure he was well after all the time he’d dedicated to him. And yet, despite this, Sae stayed. Why?
Shortly after the U-20 match, Sae, as Shidou’s emergency contact, receives a call from the hospital informing him that Shidou has been admitted. He goes to collect Shidou, and as they spend time together, their relationship continues to develop.
