The aftermath of the battle at Manaforge Omega has left Alleria furious and conflicted.
Xal’atath escapes with the Dark Heart, Dimensius’ essence safely tucked into her pocket. Wracked by guilt and anger, Alleria sets her sights on hunting her down again, aided by Sylvanas Windrunner, who has been summoned back from the Maw to assist in defending Azeroth from Xal’atath’s inevitable return.
Alleria and Sylvanas end up following cold trail after cold trail, never quite catching up to the Harbinger.
Nearly a year later, Xal’atath finds them, instead.

Summary
At Group 935's Siberian facility, Dr. Edward Richtofen has grown rather bored of the work assigned to him by Dr. Maxis. But during one of his many attempts to clone the test subjects, he manages to miraculously succeed at duplicating one of them. With newfound inspiration for the work at hand, and an unwillingness to share such an accomplishment with Group 935's leader, he decides to hide the results from the other scientists and continue this line of work in secret, dubbing the project "Geminus".
With the newly obtained knowledge on how to successfully clone a human being, he recreates the experiment four more times to grant himself four shiny new clones. But his plans for them certainly don't come to an end after they are given life.
[This fic is more of a character study and introductory fic for the protagonists, and to shed light on their lives within the lab. Once I am wrapped up with this, I'll post an entirely different fic for the main story! Just uh.. take note that my understanding of the timeline of Richtofen's time in Siberia is probably Very incorrect? So things might not line up super well and I am so very sorry]

That and the overarching plot of a thousands year old immortal witch, a certain stowaway who just seems to love crushing people’s mental, and the growing butterfly effect of our dimensional interlopers. Well at least it can’t be as bad as everything they’ve gone through already… right?
