The mist shimmered, before showing them all an image of a once beautiful mountain now surrounded by clouds of ashen smoke and bright red lava. No sign of green in sight, all the trees destroyed.
Pollux's eyes widened, Katie Gardner gasped, and Beckendorf clenched his fists so tightly they began to pale. All Annabeth could do was pray to her mother. Please, she thought on repeat, not him.
"So…" Lee Fletcher started tentatively, "is Percy alive?"
The thought that Percy died in the eruption shook everyone in the room to their core. Not only because he was a great and loyal friend, but because he was supposed to be the one of the great prophecy.
In which following the eruption caused by Percy at Mount Saint Helens, instead of landing on Calypso's Island, Percy is thrown far back into the Labyrinth and captured by the titans. Annabeth must continue on her quest alone while Percy fights for survival.

I’m guessing I felt the same as Percy felt when I flopped onto my bunk. This day was weirdly exhausting. But good at the same time. I hope Kronos doesn’t make me hurt the kid.

Meet Percy Jackson—a tiny, black latina middle-schooler whose vocabulary seems to only contain vulgar wording and colorful insults. She breaks the school rules by wearing an old leather jacket instead of the blazer that’s required of the uniform. She smokes, gets high and is constantly in trouble while still maintaining decent grades.
Her biggest problems used to be telling her mother on how she got expelled from school (again) but it seems this year, her biggest concern is not dying.
Not dying seems reeeeeally nice.
