Summary
After living on the streets, Peter has found a home and his family in Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. He's finally getting back to his normal life, or as normal as it can be. Not that being a teenaged superhero, adopted by an actual Avenger and THE Tony Stark could ever be 'normal.' The family is slowly getting used to their lives together.
Margaret is trying to figure out her powers as she begins to work with her new patrol partner Spider-Man, as well as figure out where she stands with her mentor Dr. Strange.
Everyone is trying to settle into the rhythm of their new lives.
Too bad Obadiah Stane has something to say about that.
But worse monsters loom on the horizon, waiting to rip them all apart.

The building next to them creaked as if it were made of paper. A flash erupted from the crack, and chunks of concrete fell without warning. Peter shouted. Tony pushed the boy away, but he didn't have time to protect himself. A beam of energy exploded against the armor, knocking him back. The impact made Stephen lose concentration, the spell failed, and the world became chaos.
When the dust settled, Strange ran to him, ignoring his own forehead wound. Tony lay on the floor, his chest rising and falling unevenly.

A high-pitched whirring from the skies above stopped Stephen in his tracks, eyes narrowing to identify where it was coming from. Amidst the stars, the silhouette of something undistinguishable caught his attention. Subconsciously he craned his neck forward to try and get a closer look.
Before his mind could fully catch up and process what was happening, something fell from the mysterious airborne contraption before it flew off at speed. A resounding splash brought his attention back to ground level. He started to jog across the walkway to get closer to the impact zone, gaze fixed and determined. Anxiety was beginning to crawl and prickle across his skin at an alarming rate, temperature rising uncomfortably.
When a small crowd was within earshot, he skidded to a halt.
“He’s not coming up!”
“Someone call 911, quick!”
“Oh my God, someone help him! He's going to drown!"
The one comment that would have his heart pounding so hard and fast that he thought it might escape his ribcage was the one exclaiming it had been Spider-Man that had fallen.Or: Stephen ends up reliving the trauma of his sister's death when he has to save Peter from the Hudson River.
