Summary
There was once a time when gods walked the earth side by side with mortals, before the windy periods. The wind was a hard thing to control, needing constant care and attention. The breezes grew dull and uninteresting, there wasn’t a single spirit attached to the tides of air that rolled across the Earth.
The pantheon came to a unanimous decision, each coming upon their own terms that they would simply just ignore the winds. So the gods left it alone, eventually ceasing to will the breezes in and out. Unfortunately, to create a new deity to take care of the winds, a soul would be needed. A soul of someone who died too soon. Four souls across the centuries seemed to fit this description.

Techno raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. “And what makes you think he’s not gonna do the same with me?”
“Because you’re going right now.”

Wilbur stayed silent, his words balled up in his throat like a hairball. His eyes flicked down to Quackity’s lips.
“Look at me,” Quackity demanded, tone sharp.
Wilbur couldn’t help but listen, couldn’t help but want for a little bit of comfort after everything, couldn’t help but want something serene, a safe haven, anything to get him away from the gaping hole in his chest where his heart once was.

"They're sitting on stalactites?" The bats wake up for seemingly no reason. (Definitely not because the author of this fic decided that one of the bats got on her nerves....) It definitely was very loose stalactites. With the scurry and frantic stampede of bats, the rocks start tumbling down on top of our heads.Series

“Christ big man I’m up, where's the fire?” He grumbled jokingly, voice still slightly slurred and gravelly with sleep as he rubbed his eyes with the heel of his hand.
“Tommy, I have been trying to wake you up for fifteen minutes!” Sam half shouts.
“Sorry?” He tries, getting an exasperated sigh in return.
“Come on Toms, hopefully this house is the last one, I have high hopes for it.”
Right, we were driving to house seven.or, Tommy has gone through six houses in his foster career, and now he was sat in a car outside of house seven. It was a new city, new people, maybe this one would be different. How hard could it be to hide the fact he wasn't human?
