It was perfect. Five-star meals, satin tablecloths, silverware. Tommy was smiling at him, but there was something missing. Something Techno cannot face.

Summary
After Wilbur's tragic passing, the matter of Tommy's custody is a mess. Phil can't care for him anymore, and foster care wasn't exactly an option, but thankfully, Dream steps up and offers to adopt him.
At first, Tommy thinks he's been given a second chance at family, another shot at happiness. It sours just as quickly. He spends years hiding bruises and isolated, completely hopeless. He sees no way out of Dream's grasp.
Salvation arrives in the form of Technoblade, an old, long-term friend of the family who he'd fallen out of contact with. He refuses to look away, to ignore the red flags in the way Tommy flinches, or the half-covered black eyes and split lips. It's hard, to undo years of abuse and manipulation, but he's always been stubborn.
Technoblade becomes his only hope for freedom, but things aren't that simple.
It's only so long until Tommy finally snaps.
[ Or : After Wilbur passes away, Tommy is adopted by Dream. He spends years suffering at his hands, until an old family friend, Technoblade, moves in next door, and becomes his only solace. But Tommy can only endure it for so long. ]

Tommy and techno stick together as they meet neighbors and then find a mysterious door that will change their lives forever

Summary
Tommy wasn't an idiot.
He knew that demons like this dealt in emotional magic, rather than the magic bound by words and subtle nuances like fae, or lesser demons. No, this demon was powerful, and all it needed to gain access to Tommy's soul was something that Tommy had an equally powerful attachment to. It was like finding just the right strings to pull to make a puppet dance. The power of Tommy's memories, of his care and attachment to those discs, would be more than enough to sign himself away forever.
But this was his responsibility. This is what he needed to do... Right? Tommy lets the faces of Phil, Techno, Ranboo, and Tubbo float idly through his mind. Isn't this what they would want him to do, if they were here to see him now? It was his fault the demon was here in the first place... Right?

Summary
The room was packed, crowded with kids and families all gathered for the poetry event. Techno didn't exactly have a choice in being here—his friend, Wilbur, had a gig with the organizers, and somehow Techno got roped into tagging along as moral support.
So here he was, arms crossed, posture stiff in an uncomfortable plastic chair at the back of the hall, just trying to make it through the night. The stage lights were low, a spotlight illuminating each young poet as they took their turn, reading their pieces one after another. He zoned out for most of it, his mind wandering somewhere between “When can I leave?” and “Why am I here?”
Then, a kid with wild blonde hair and an oversized hoodie stepped up to the mic, face half-hidden under his mess of hair. Techno was barely paying attention—until the kid started speaking.

Philza the vampire waited with his hand stuck out, tilting his head to copy Techno when he tilted his head in confusion, one big ear flopping to the side. He scented the air again, trying to get a better read on his intentions, but he was met with nothing but honesty and eagerness, the man smiling on patiently.
Unwilling to shift back into his human form, Techno simply took a half step forward, sniffed Philza’s hand once, and then pushed his nose into it briefly as a greeting. He stepped back quickly, and the vampire seemed satisfied.
“It’s nice to know one’s neighbors, I think. I hope we can stay friendly.”
Techno tilted his head again at the words, but Philza simply turned on his heal and walked back up his own path, back the way he had come, on silent feet. Techno watched him go until he had fully disappeared from sight before resuming his patrol of his boarders.-//-

It had an intriguing mix of ferocity and shyness about it, the creature’s grin wide but its posture slightly hunched, as if it was uncertain of how to approach.
“Who are you?” Tommy asked, suspicion and curiosity mingling in his mind.
“Name’s Techno,” the cryptid replied, stepping a little closer, eyes glinting with interest. “What’s a kid like you doing out here all alone?”

Summary
Tommy makes a run for it, backpack over his head and socks drenched from the rising flood.
The lingering fog reveals a small shop of pistachio green panels, white metal chairs outside gathering puddles of rain. Tommy heads straight for the glass door, exhaling heavily when the chimes echoed and he was finally under dry roof.
His soaked hoodie drips onto the floor mat as the man wearing a brown apron behind the counter blinks at him tirelessly.
“Hi, Techno!” Tommy waves innocently when he might as well be wringing his damp clothes all over the floorboards.
OR
Tommy seeks refuge from the storm at the coffee shop his brother works at. Techno finds this kid quite dumb (and a tad bit endearing).

Summary
The first time Techno saw Tommy’s ghost, he didn't scream. He didn't call for his neighbours—not that he has any left alive—nor did he take a crucifix and pray. He will never be a religious man. And he will never refuse a chance to see his little brother again.
The boy was pale and his features were sunken. There were still specks of blood on his temples, just as when he died, though Techno made sure he was clean and spotless.
But Tommy significantly lit-up when he realised his older brother can see him. And Tommy ran straight into his arms with that same grin on his face that would leave Techno empty when he'd reminisce.
Techno smiled back at him, the first time in months that his lips formed anything other than a quivering frown. It immediately dropped the moment Tommy fell through him.

Tommy faces his brother. He's fast asleep, expression as mellow as the day Tommy met him, except there were fewer scars and lesser guilty grudges.
“Yeah, you better sleep well,” he mumbles. “When you wake up, all your possessions will be gone,” he adds jokingly.
Techno doesn't move a muscle, maybe it's because he had fallen straight into the chasmic cracks of sleep, or maybe it's because he knows Tommy won't be leaving this room until Phil comes back anyway.
The boy would be lowered into his grave before Philza Minecraft witnesses him become attached to his older brother like a needy kid. Again.

Techno is in hibernation, Tommy disturbs him. The perfect recipe for cuddling-induced blackmail!

No walls screeching at the vibrations of a shrill voice, no heavy footsteps stomping up the staircase. It's quiet. Techno loves his silence. But this is a different kind of quiet. He hates it.

“What the fuck..” Tommy mumbles to himself. “Um, hello?” he shakes the older by the shoulder lightly so as to not startle him. He gets startled anyways, floundering away from Tommy while he blinks furiously, pupils finally regaining soul—yet, they are frantic, as if he is searching for something that was never in the room to begin with.
Techno looks at his younger brother indecisively and clears his throat. “Hi, Tommy.”
Tommy crosses his arms as he sits beside him, an inspecting expression on his face. “What time did you go to bed last night?”
“Uhh, I did not go to bed last night.”

But there's this problem, a huge fucking problem at that. All Protesilaus does is mock him, taunt him over his choice of alias because he apparently likes reading Greek mythology in his free time.
Theseus thinks it's stupid, because no matter how much he wants to annihilate the villain, Protesilaus always seems to be a hundred steps ahead of him.
