Hitoshi Shinsou made his first friend. A boy named Mikumo Akatani who seemed to have more secrets each day. This boy pushed Shinsou harder than anyone ever has to get him into the hero course at U.A. The first person who didn’t think he would be a villain.
Shouta Aizawa met a young vigilante one day during one of his patrols. A reckless young boy who couldn’t be older than 14 with no self-preservation. He did his best to keep him safe whenever he was on patrol but the young boy had a knack for getting himself into trouble. One day the boy has a request. One Aizawa could never fulfill
He fully intended on dying that day and yet he woke up. Bakugou was right though. Taking a swan dive off a roof did end up giving him a quirk. For once in his life, Izuku Midoriya wished he didn’t have a quirk.

Izuku and Katsuki had known each other once. Had you asked Izuku at the time, he would have told you that Kacchan was his absolute best friend in the entire world. He would have told you that Kacchan and him were going to stay together forever. That they'd move to Tokyo together like they always talked about on those days they'd spent at Izuku's desk doing their Middle School homework. That, once they were in Tokyo, they'd finally be carefree, Katsuki would be safe and Izuku wouldn't have to worry about him anymore.
Ask Izuku about him now and he'll tell you that Bakugou Katsuki died at the age of 13 and that he will no longer speak on the subject. He'll tell you to leave him alone. He'll tell you to fuck off.

Izuku hesitated, his eyes wide and fingers digging into the plush fur of his rabbit. “I… I don’t know,” he admitted in a whisper.
The man studied him for a moment, taking in his disheveled state, before nodding slowly. “Got a place to stay?”
Izuku thought of home, his stomach twisting. He shook his head, the tears threatening to spill over again.
The man sighed and extended a calloused hand. “Well, I’ve got an extra bed at my place, you’re welcome to stay over if you’d like.”
Izuku stared at the hand. He wasn't supposed to talk to strangers, let alone follow them home, but where else would he go? He thought of the rat he'd seen scuttling about earlier, and after a long moment, he reached out, letting the man take his small hand in his own.
“Okay,” Izuku said.Alternatively, AU where Izuku grows up in the red light district.
I would like to clarify that the Izuku/OC tag is loosely defined, and the main relationship of the fic later becomes Shinso/Izuku -

So, as the evening sun started to set, Izuku climbed over the railing, holding onto it behind his back. He had his backpack on but not his shoes. He was hoping for a better life in death afterall. He let go of the railing, shifting his bodyweight forward.
