JA fans will be able to understand the story completely without any prior knowledge of THG. Just keep in mind that Finnick is a charismatic flirt with a heart of gold.
I did my best to adapt it for THG fans, too. Finn deserves more fics dedicated to him, as he deserves not to die in them.
Splices are something akin to Avoxes in this 'verse.
Happy ending is guaranteed.
EvenSean BeanStinger Apini does not die in this story. What a tragic waste of a perfectly good trope. -

If only Jupiter got a critical extra three minutes of consciousness in the clinic, if only she slept for four hours rather than twelve in Caine’s hideout, if only in a somewhat humorous fashion the author could strong-arm them both into slightly better communication… and most importantly, if only the author would allow Balem to really express his inner creative streak. Then, then the author could offer crackfic with entirely too much plot, more than expected personal growth, the same expected crate of lemons (signature required at delivery), just a few trigger warnings, and a high level of satisfaction by the end.
