Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy have finally graduated from their eight year of Hogwarts, having survived the horrors of another dark wizard. They struggle to find their place in the new world and with each other, and amidst the aftershocks of the last battle, Harry secretly searches for a way to fix his botched animagus transformation, both in anticipation of his upcoming Auror training, and as a distraction from Albert Wagner's murder trials.
He embarks alone on a hare-brained trip across the jagged mountains of Wales, in search of a mythical character from a children's story book, a witch named tân draig, gifted with the curse of immortality, and capable of transitioning at ease between all stages of her animagus transformations. Draco hunts him down on the cliffs of Yr Wyddfa, and unwillingly joins him on his quest, which serves as a temporary escape from the continuing manipulation and devastation inflicted by the Masked Murderer.
