“It’s the idea that the smallest of situations, can set the biggest consequences in motion. A butterfly flapping it’s wings on one side of the world, creates a hurricane on the other.”
He nodded, that’s exactly how this situation sounds right now. If he and Scott never went out that fateful night and looked for that body, or if he and Derek never became friends, or hell, if he never agreed to Deatons plan in the first place… then none of this would be happening.
But fuck it, ‘caution’ isn’t in his vocabulary.

The Nemeton's were Nymphs that were connected to the ley lines so they were not able to leave with the others as the witches prosecuted them wanting to be the only ones with the connection to nature magic. After a thousand years the witches had long since thought all but those they had a hand in creating had been killed or fled to other planes. All but one druid turned darach knew better and hatched a plan to get their magic and immortality for himself. One by one with the help of other hunters he eliminated the Nemeton's and their protectors before moving on. What he and the witches did not know was that the gods had given the Nemeton's a fail safe should one become to greedy for immortality and power and as the last one was cut down for her to use it. The result was the last Nymph in the world and this one was directly connected to the ley lines of the earth so long as they thrived she would live and she had a lot of lessons to teach not just to the druid but to the rest of the supernatural world.
