Damien Faolan gets transferred over to his new school—Ridgeline High—after getting himself expelled for fighting a kid. When introduced to the new school environment Damien realizes this isn't any regular school—its a school of kids nearing juvenile detention facilities.
What makes things worse? The school doesn't actually give a damn about these kids, making it a free-for-all fighting club.

Abigail, hearing the sack of Charles Town, refuses to travel on to Savannah and turns back in the hopes of saving her father. What she finds instead is proof she needn't have bothered. Thomas, newly liberated after 10 years of incarceration, is no longer the man he used to be and not quite sure who he's become instead. Both of them have begun to develop some new ideas about political philosophy. They decide to try putting them into practice, and help the pirates of Nassau resist English rule for a little while longer. They also get talking to Mr. Scott.

This is how he does it, Charles realises abruptly. Flint finds the thing that other men crave most and then he tells them they can have it. Tells them how to have it, laying out a path to their desires that passes squarely through his hands. Flint might be a liar, but Charles no longer sees him as some grasping grifter pulling off a scam. Flint is bigger than that, and far more dangerous. He’s a self-proclaimed prophet, foretelling doom and judgement, promising salvation and redemption to anyone who follows him. And the worst part, the best part, the part that holds the power, is that Flint himself actually believes he can deliver it.
What really frightens Charles is that for once in his life, he doesn’t want to prove Flint wrong.
A.K.A. Everyone talks about how Silver helped create the myth of Flint in the aftermath of Charlestown. And maybe he did - but Charles Vane got there first.
