Now that it has come to the end of the road, I will give you this – my life in writing. For as I walk away, I am leaving behind every trace that I ever existed. You may take this as a work of fiction or a pure fantasy but I guarantee that every word is true. Even though the city of Penzance has been wiped from the map and all those involved in our war have been taken out of the record book, I am making sure their lives will be known. Never let them forget what happened here, in our “sleepy” corner of England. And if they burn this memoir tomorrow, at least I will have known that somebody saw it today.
