Summary
By 1899, the age of outlaws and gunslingers was at an end. America was becoming a land of laws... Even the west had mostly been tamed. A few gangs still roamed, but they were being hunted down and destroyed.
...
This is the story of one of those gangs that roamed the west. The Van Der Linde gang, a group of people who have chosen to reject the rules of society and the power of the government, not wanting to be ruled by anyone and instead living by their own code and laws. After a failed heist in Blackwater, the group, led by Dutch van der Linde, will travel east across America to escape those who pursue them, encountering an old rival, and dangers around every corner. As internal conflict starts to brew, Arthur Morgan and his childhood friend, (Y/N) (L/N) are forced to choose between their ideals and their loyalty to the gang.
(Story follows the game with some changes here and there, but mostly it sticks to the canon story!)

Summary
Few outlaws are left in the Wild West of America. It's really no surprise; unbound by state or law, those people are also free of any support and care by it. Which makes it rather hard to live. Or to love. Especially, when the only sprinkle of affection they get to witness is the subtle touch of a waitress passing them a drink in a dark saloon or the hopeless abandon that they find in the arms of working girls.
But Arthur Morgan is not the kind of man that indulges in such fleeting pleasentries. Not anymore. He strictly refrains from it. The last time he let himself get lost in a woman, she and the son she birthed him died in a horrible accident. And the thought of having to experience this excruating pain again makes him recoil. No love. No lover. Ever again. He promised himself that.
But to his surprise, he finds you. A young woman from Mexico who escaped the grasp of her abusive husband, now forced to take refuge in dark alleys and abandoned churches if she doesn't want to sleep besides dirty streets. Can you safe eachother from being dragged into the ruin of your past? -

Arthur is an odd-man, harsh to men yet kind to deer. Most, much more feeble, men could not handle such dichotomy in their personality.
Which means that when everyone happens to run into Arthur out in the world, they all have very different and contradicting stories of their fearsome protector. Eventually they confront the man and learn there’s more to all of them, from the maidens to poets, outlaws to kings, than one may have thought.
That perhaps even the most simple among them is wonderfully complex… and loving.
