The story of the Umbrella Academy (TV) as experienced through Number Eight's point of view. At the beginning of this story, which will span S1, we'll find her comatose on the day of sir Reginald Hargreeve's funeral, alone. The first to visit her is Luther, the one who had remained by her unresponsive side until he was sent off. As the day and the story of season 1 unfold further her relationships with the siblings adapt and change, albeit not without challenges and grievances. This, along with the looming threat of the Apocalypse, causes her to easily lose sight of the one relationship that might be able to evolve past what she had ever thought. Luther, however, is quite aware of the change in their dynamic, but doesn't know how to navigate it and to where it might lead if he figures it out.

'The Hagreeves Academy is an international school located in New York America. It has been established since 1896, when the children of the Marigold had first been born. Its progenitor, Sir Reginald Hargreeves, is the owner, director, and principal of said school. Entrance to the school only has one requirement, which is you must be a child of Marigold.
The academy has four Houses: Spear, Willow, Dragon, and Herring. Each house has what you would call the One Percenters, the top and best of the best of the Academy. There are ten One Percenters in each House and they are the only ones who are allowed to use the Hargreeves surname.'
