Regulus has always known about Sirius' friends.
Always knew about their existence since Sirius met them. He was always aware of everything. Maybe too aware for some people's opinions.
He knew and remembered almost everything, no matter how hard he tried not to, and it was a curse to him. To Alphard it was a blessing because, as much as Regulus loved him, he was very, very forgetful and oblivious. Andromeda used to say that Alphard and Regulus were exact opposites and that's why Regulus found the most comfort in Alphard. Why he always ran to him when he couldn't figure something out and needed an adult to help.
He always saw Alphard as more of a parent than his own. It was reasonable, very reasonable, that he did. Walburga and Orion were never caring or kind to him and Sirius. They mattered as much as dirt to them. Sirius hated them as soon as he became aware. Regulus never dared to. He could never hate his parents, as much as he may want to. He never had the heart to. He wasn't as brave as Sirius was, and never would be, really.
“Reggie! Guests are here!" Was what brought Regulus back to reality. He slowly, and very reluctantly, closed the book in his lap and stood up, taking his time to walk inside.

Summary
Isobel Monroe has just finished her sixth year at Hogwarts and is spending the summer with her best friend, Luna Lovegood. She's also looking for a job so that she can get enough money to leave the country, given that the Ministry is starting to have an increasingly negative effect on muggle-borns like herself. A couple seconds later, Harry comes toddling into the kitchen wearing the Christmas sweater that Lily had bought him a couple weeks ago. He makes his way towards James, begging to be picked up.
The door opens and Lily’s voice echoes through the house, “James! Harry! We’re here!”
“In the kitchen,” James calls back. Just seconds later, Lily comes into the kitchen with Pandora just behind her. They smile at the two of them, “Hey ladies, how are you?”

The moral of the story is don't sell your young body for attention or else you might get into a predicament and get yourself hurt/assaulted.

Hermione Granger's world was like a library, every book in its proper place, information sorted and categorized, then recategorized, borrowed, returned, lost, donated, and above all, logical. Her world was adaptable, able to bring facts like magic, prophetic chosen ones, and immortal evils into the fold, yet inflexible when it came to nearly every word that came out of Luna Lovegood's mouth.
Hermione didn't know what Luna's world was like. She didn't know how Luna could say the things she did, backed up by entirely no data, utterly nonsensical, and often with one sentence effortlessly contradicting the last. If she were honest, she'd say she didn't know how Luna got up in the morning when, to her perception, Luna Lovegood's world was a poorly maintained, ill-sorted, rubbish pile of books stationed right before a good burning.
She had assumed Luna's world was illogical, disorganized, so at odds with her own worldview, Hermione couldn't guess at the function. She never assumed, of course, that was the function.
