“Will. Hi.”
“Hey, so you’re still good to drive me and El tonight?” Will asked, leaning on the metal doorframe. He had a canvas bag hanging off one shoulder, bursting with supplies.
“Uh, ya, ya, totally, no worries.”
Will smiled that blinding smile at him. “Awesome. You’re doing me such a solid- me and El are both total light weights. You’ll see.”
Okay, sure, the job sucked. The kids were dicks, the pay was shit, and the building was always either too cold and wet or too hot and wet. But some things made it maybe-almost worth it.
The main thing being Will Byers, the absolutely gorgeous art teacher, who had a habit of making Mike forget how to string together a cohesive sentence.
