He stopped himself, staying still for a while, directed his sight at a different wall. He didnt want to ask it. He didnt want to know the reason, whatever it was. He really wanted it to not matter.
He suddenly felt extremely exposed. His mind started to race as to find an exit from this situation and his thoughts finally settled on something else. With an exhale he turned back to Prismo.
"Do you regret bringing me here?"

“Why do you want to take me with you?” Scarab opens his eyes again and realizes he doesn't know when he closed them, that’s not good.
“I don't really know,” Prismo smiles at him, “there’s something about you, I can’t really put my finger on it. There's like this weird draw.”
Scarab hates that he knows exactly what the other replicant is talking about. There’s something magnetic about Prismo, but he chalks it up to the hunt; he’s so close to his target and yet so far.
Scarab is a Blade Runner, tasked with hunting down rouge replicants. His newest mission tests both his patience and baseline status.(Do not have to know much about Blade Runner to enjoy!)
Edit: Problems with chapters being duplicated and missing chapters has been fixed.
