Summary
These stories were written as part of the telephone writing game on the Chasing Stardust server. Essentially, playing a game of telephone, but with writing prompts! Each person came up with a prompt and it got passed on down the line, with everyone only being able to see the section of story directly before theirs. The result is a series of stories with continuity breaks and surrealist / absurdist elements.
Coauthors on works are the prompt writers for the fic. They may or may not have contributed to the work itself (some prompt writers may choose to write wrap-up snippets), but are listed as the only coauthor so that we don't need all of the participants as coauthors.
Event participants:
Fal (Falstarin), Took (foolofatook001), Leo (GracefulLeopard), Stickers, Errol (HorribleTimes_MiserablePleasures), Whoop, Moon (Moonscar), Vee (pointvee), Hawk (Feliadox), Kakti (FlowerFox), Syares (syares), Ozzie (octopus_defence), Ketty (PolynomialPandemic), Cat (HappyCatTail), Exe (Xeamon_exe), Lumi (Liminalumi), Cookies (free_cookiesx), Crow (Alecellent), Bee (AHumbleBumbleBitch), Kat (RandomeProjectedKat), Bread (Blanksandwich), Space (Koolady), Gal (Gal_Writes_shit), Grim (grimfey), Ties (MinMinh), Fenn, and Tet- Words:

Summary
“So,” he said, “You are to be our grandson’s wife.”
“An it pleases His Serenity and our father,” said Csethiro Ceredin. Her voice was deeper than he had expected, and she seemed to have to work to keep it from carrying.
“And how does it please Csethiro Ceredin, pray?” said Maru.
“As well as it pleases any lady chosen to be Zhasan, we have no doubt,” said Csethiro coolly.
Saying that to Chenelo Sevraseched’s father was either stupid or deliberately brassy, and Maru had already ruled out the likelihood of her being stupid.Bookmarked by eosofthedawn

Summary
“Dear Maia,” said Csethiro, amused. “Lack of presumption, thy name is Edrehasivar. Well, we are sorry for the faux pas. Have no fear, we are used to keeping quiet on the matter.” She frowned. “Gosh. For a woman who was so worried you disliked us, we are certainly giving you plenty of reasons, in our attempts to diffuse the situation. Damnation.” She sat back, then said, “Ooh, Goëlar,” and sat forwards again. “You have the set! And well-read, we dare say, how impressive…”
The woman's mind was like a scanning bird of prey, Csevet thought exhaustedly as she tottered out of the chair to look at his bookshelf. Pinned one topic and only let it go when it was in its death throes, then leapt instantly off to murder another.(csevet and csethiro have three main things in common: pakh'palar, popular literature, and purpose. not necessarily in that order.)

Summary
He couldn’t help his unintelligence, any more than she could help her father. And he was kind. She should try to remember that.
(Or: Csethiro Ceredin goes into her betrothal to Emperor Edrehasivar VII with assumptions, and has every one of them challenged.)

Summary
“Aha!” Csethiro sat up, displacing him somewhat abruptly. “Thou dost admit it, then!”
“Admit what?” said Maia bewilderedly, trying to sit up—
“That ‘tis my job to hate people on thy behalf,” said Csethiro magnificently, with a rather intense look in her eye that Maia did not entirely trust, even if he did rather like it.
“I did not… quite say that…”
“Let me deal with Mer Abrevar, husband,” said Csethiro— in a tone she obviously thought was measured, because she looked proud of herself. It was not measured. It was immense.Bookmarked by eosofthedawn
