Luxury Hotel AU
About a decade after World War II, Alec Scudder was a simple porter at the Grand Durham Hotel. He was completely immersed in a world that wasn't his: snobbish men and women stayed and flaunted their wealth. He hated having to obey all those empty people, but the one he hated the most was the hotel's young owner, Clive Durham. He had never seen him work a day in his life: he simply strolled through the luxurious halls and rooms, always accompanied by a mysterious mr Hall who seemed to have eyes only for his friend. Yet, suddenly, that figure had been replaced by Mr. Durham's young fiancée. On the other hand, mr Hall simply stayed in his suite and kept a low profile. Alec wondered why this abrupt change had occurred and vowed to find out. Little did he know that this little investigation would lead him closer to the unusual gentleman who told him to call him Maurice.

Summary
Clive Durham, in his early fifties now, has retired due to health problems (ahem). His wife Anne sinks into a clinical depression and quits her job. Their marital bliss is over, and his liaison with Maurice and Alec comes to an end. His seemingly helpless mother constantly claims him, and he has to take in an unwanted guest who has had her share of troubles.
Meanwhile, the basement of his home is turned into a spa, but he regrets the project because there's no one he can have fun with there. As if that weren't enough, Anne comes up with a wish he can never fulfill.
But Clive is Clive. He is granted a few bizarre, highly erotic (or rather smutty) experiences, and so he eventually gains back everything he thought he'd lost for good, and in the end everybody is happy again.The previous fics from these series are risqué, but this one is predominantly PORN.

In hindsight, wandering alone in Clive’s home was probably making the spiral worse. Especially since Clive often ignored him in favor of networking with his father’s politician friends during the day. Then at night, would sneak into his guest room and lament about their relationship, why it would never work, kiss Maurice’s hands, and then ramble about his fiancé and how nice it was to love a woman. Maurice endured it for a while, wanting to salvage the one friendship that meant the most to him."
This is my attempt at a Modern AU for Maurice by EM Forster. Not everything is a one for one comparison between this fanfiction an the original - mainly because I wanted to take some artistic liberties. This is all meant to be a fun 'what if' project!
