Summary
Maxine was finally done with work and wanted to treat herself with some of the best pasta, created by a friend named Franco, only for her to witness Franco's attempted murder since he owes the mafia a lot of money. Scared for Franco and his family, Maxine jumps in, planning on sacrificing herself, only to get kidnapped, used as a hostage, and not even getting her pasta. Now she's confused on why this man wouldn't just kill her.
I also developed the idea since for some reason all mafia romances has the guy immediately falling in love/obsessed with her, and I want to play with the idea where he doesn't, so this will a slow burn. This will be developed into dark romance.

This is basically my own original work, in which I have co-opted the use of the Slenderman mythos and the Habit character from EMH. I have diverted from the official canon of EMH (if you'd watched the series in full you'd know why I had to) in order to use him. Aside from my personal interpretation of his personality, this Habit bares no resemblance to the one in EMH. There is no Evan, Jeff, Vinny, etc.
[The actual plot summary]
Miles Pham is excited. It's the final parting summer before University. Everyone's already committed, and their plan seems to be to leave him behind in the dust. The only one who'll be sticking around seems to be his unemployed-yet once promising-older sister, Vanessa. In a desperate attempt to cement some final memories, the group of 5 drive 6 hours out for a stay at his parents abandoned summer campgrounds. Surely nothing could or would go wrong! -
